Spiders in the haystack

Tonight when I opened a bail of hay and picked some up to throw to the horses, I just about grabbed a handful of black widow  I have never seen one in the hay before and there wasn't any kind of web like it had been there a while. I was just wondering.......have any of you had this happen? And if it's common for you, how do you get rid of them? Maybe I should just start using the pitch fork, or let Leanin' H do the chores? :???:

Not by the spider, but I did get bit today by a bratty little miniature pony at a petting zoo I took the kids to! You'd think a petting zoo pony would have better manners!

I've had 36 years since to stew on the spit in the face.

A few years ago, there was a man in a nearby town who got killed by a kicking llama. His daughter was a teacher for our kids.
