Woke up to about 4 inches of new snow- still snowing and they are predicting 4 more inches-- 15 Below for tonight-east wind- and windchills of 30 below...Predicting lows to 30 Below tomorrow night ...BRRRRRRRRR And I was ready for spring.....

Couple of pics I quickly shot this morning as I was rolling out bales- old cows are staying pretty bunched this morning....Some didn't come out of their bedground down in the bottom for quite a while....I think they are ready for spring too......

Old trees on the river are pretty hazy this morning in the snow

This must be an extra green clump that fell off!

Fed on the west side of one of the haystacks to give a little protection from the cold east wind

The black spot is old Jud-- even tho the gate is shut he knows his job is to protect the gate when I'm hauling out bales...

Looks the same here today, although it's snowing more this afternoon. Dreary skies and cold temps..seems to be the norm this last week, and this new week isn't startin off any better! Nice pictures

We got up to 32-34 the last two days... Tonight we get payback with a winter storm warning for 6 inches of snow and -6 for a low by Wed. Long term forcast is showing us getting into the 40's however next week so that is a good thing... Right? Of course this time of year we always start to get warmer with the longer days and what not. Won't be long and the ditches will being burned, the disks will be running in the fields and my Barley wlill be peaking up through the cool dirt... Ahhh... That is what makes April and May so great.

took demodriver over the hill to butte yesterday to get some assistance with the financial aid process and it was a BALMY 44 degrees!! Started raining when we were heading back over Homesteak pass and rained all the way home!!! This morning, woke up to about 4" of the white stuff, 10 degrees outside, light breeze (less than 40 mph  ) and it is still coming down as of right now!!! :? Unfortunately, we could sure use the moisture here......snowpack is WAYYYY below normal which will make for a long, hot, dry summer!!!

Well weather boys were pretty close to being right---12 Below this morning- but at least no wind- and it looks like the sun may shine...Predicting 25-30 Below for tonite-- but then they say it could be up near 30 Above on Thurs and in the 30's and 40's by the weekend...Be a sloppy, icy mess- but I'll take the change....

got up at midnight and then again at 5 to check the heavies (thank goodness it was a quiet night in the calving pens) and the snow was coming down pretty hard!! Hubby wanted demodriver to take the bus to school, but she said "Gonna have to learn to drive in this sooner or later...might as well be now!"...sheeshhhhh...to think that our kids have a "scheduled" snow day on monday!! Sure could have used it today!
