Found the first buttercup on March 10th! Now the poor things are about to drown.

Spring has sprung there Nicky. My cousin on the west side of your state was saying he is getting tired of of the mud and rain and thought my frozen tundra looked like a better alternative. I kinda like the looks of your arid ground.

Great pics, your calves are looking very good :D . Those black cows look to be doing a good job, they should really have some impressive baldy calves next spring... if you keep them that long :p  .

Thanks Nicky, you're cattle are doing well.

Your photos bring back good memories of calving in the sagebrush when we were at Dog Creek in the early 80's. Wish we had a few hundred acres of it to calve on here.

Thanks all, Per - where does your relative live? We're starting to feel like we are on the west side...close to 3" rain in the last 10 days...that's a 1/3 of our normal yearly rainfall

Lazy Ace, yes it is, ordered it on the way home from your place.
