A gaggle of geese graced our sky with grandeur while going north giving growing and great hope that this winter will get gone. :? Day 2 of a Chinook, complete with a breeze. Still lots of snow.

We have robins that stay here year 'round. They must like the juniper berries :) sw saw bluebirds the other day so we are getting close, except we're expecting snow and cold temps (again) starting this coming up Mon. Today was gorgeous.....mostly sunny and very mild....sure wish old man winter would go away.........................................

They're saying that is all going south of us :) Weather pattern has switched and south of the Missouri- that had it so nice a lot of the winter- will start getting the snow and storms- and 15 day forecast says 40's, 50's, 60's up here.... :) :) :)

Grasshoppers are not fun. Just a thought to put in the back of your mind.... 1/2 point of brix/sugar rise difference between yours and your neighboring crop will keep those critters eating away from your field.

Well we have had two gorgeous, sunny days in a row here in mid-Western Ontario with temps reaching +10!!! (that would be Celsius) The snow is mostly gone except for a few banks on the north sides of bushes and buildings.

This last snow went kinda nice and slowly after we lost it twice through the winter with a big dump of untimely rain, causing a lot of flooding.

We had our first robins grace the lawn this morning and the red-winged blackbirds and noisy starlings are back scratching up the grass. The swans are flying high overhead making their haunting music.

And the farmers are starting to take off the rest of the corn that the early winter stranded in the fields last year. It sure was a looong winter.

Aaaaaah, I think I'll stretch out in the sun and soak it up for a while . . . . maybe get the frost out of these snarly joints . . . :)

The mesquite trees are starting to leaf out. We've probably had out last frost. Fruit trees have been blooming for a while.

Yeap that was always the sign of Spring growin up in West Texas....course...that's bout the only green thing there is out there.
We've had oaks, elms, willows, all leafin out for a couple weeks, Dogwoods are still bloomin, sure is perdy drivin thru the woods and seein them scattered here and there. Pines are bloomin.....that's always a lotta fun...NOT Pine pollen...yuck. But least we got some good rain, and it washed a lot of it off without it bein in the air.

One thing I do not miss...pine pollen EVERYWHERE. Now I'm in Central Texas where the cedars explode with pollen. Not a big difference.

Sunny today with a cool wind blowing, it did thaw a bit during the midday.
Vaccinated half the herd for scours and blackleg, will finish the rest tommorow. Enjoying :???: watching a little flurry blow through right now.
