perhaps understanding the contents of this page is part of the solution, in other words having a deeper understanding of the challenges and concerns of the people our times and having a shared concern for inequality will lead us to make better choices in governance and less conflict for more overall contentment.
I looked at every issue..
take this one.. rich folk live in rich neighborhoods and poor live in poor neighborhoods..
the government/banks tried to fix that one.. it turned out horribly with many people of all income living in homes they couldn't afford..
maybe the first questions should have been
is it really an inequity?
I don't want to live in an area I can't afford to be comfortable in.. I live in what is considered a poor neighborhood, and I have one of the nicest homes in town.. I wish some of my neighbors would pick themselves up a bit.,.. but most are good decent people..
many moved out of here over the last few years, some have lost the home they moved to, someone sold them a bill of goods and now few are really happy..
many moved in here as well, most can't afford to be here, and many of them are losing their homes.. I would be willing to bet most would turn the clock back and have stayed put...
It is better to be a rich man in a poor neighborhood then a poor man in a rich neighborhood
I do not think living within your means is an inequity..
