Most of the names I've given any of my cows are unprintable in a mixed crowd.....

Named two steers once... Lunch and Dinner... I think we had a hog named hambone as well.. We don't do the show thing so most animals don't get a name unless they come with one.

T-Bone

Chuck

Ribeye

Tenderloin

all end as packaged beef so I name our butcher steer from the list above.

I have a bull with an attitude and we call him "Richard" Dick for short

lol.. Our poor bull with the riped up tool from the injury was called dick for the rest of his unfortunatley brief life... Vet named him for us, she called up and asked how dick was doing .. Took me a couple of seconds to realize she meant the bull

I forgot about lambchop the lamb and pork chop the other hog.. Now we have had too many they just get called "next"

We had an Angus bull a few years ago named Rhett Butler.
One named Heintz....cuz his tag number was 57 when we bought him.

Lil Lilly's first pen of bred heifers were. "Muffin, Biscuit, and Cressant"

Our oldest Angus cow that we have now is named "Aunt Jemima" she gets wide as a barn and waddles when she walks.

Mr. Deep Freeze, the last steer we butchered.
think the next one will be named Maytag (brand of deepfreeze) LOL
get to pick him out tomorrow when we work cows.

I'd be here all day if I typed every name of every critter that has come through this place. It's a bad habit of mine, hafta name everything, drives the best friend crazy when we're working cattle! "Bring the Captain, bring Iggy, bring Moppy, and so on and so on. He just gives me this look that says "yeah right, like I know who you're talking about!"

My favorites were Skeeter, and a cow that the nephews named when she was a calf. Ren, which ended up being Renny. They used to watch the Ren and Stimpy show on MTV, and when my calf was born, she had these huge bulging eyes like the character Ren. The name just naturally fit.
