Boy do I feel for you folks...
Altho we're usually colder than a brass monkey up here on the border- we get far less of those spring blizzards then you folks south...It just seems historically they go toward southern MT, Wyo, SD, and Nebraska...We call them South Dakota calf killers for that reason...
But I have been thru a few... The worst we had I think was in the first week of May- and killed a lot of almost month old calves...
Temp finally warming a little here- 30 degrees right now, with the sun shining- and the wind has dropped down to 10 mph (which almost feels non-existent)... Got about a half inch of snow during the night- but with the sun shining its all melted off....
The clearing skies is supposed to bring us temps down around 5-10 tonight- but at least the bitter wind may be past us...Maybe if warm up comes I can get my calf taxi/warming box passenger side of my pickup cleaned good enough Grandma will ride with me again.....
