So Tex, what was your opinion on the Swift Boat Veterans exposing Kerry for what he was?

I didn't pay that much attention. I am more interested in the issues than what someone did 30 years ago. The Swift Vote adds didn't seem to be important enough to bring out to a senator, but they were to a presidential run.

.

His Senatorial opponents did not have an immoral/unethical campaign hatchet man like Karl Rove buying up and making up untruths, to have these things suddenly appear like GW did...A crooked hatchetman that he had to take into the White House and make his #1 advisor- to further slime up the White House and D.C...... :(

I would totally agree with that. GW likes to look good but he does hire the worst people to lead (sell out) the executive branch. They are incompetent by design--- so republican cronies can reap the rewards.

Hillary is doing the same thing with Bill Clinton. He is the democrat's sleaze machine. Too bad he is a former president. Bill Clinton did push NAFTA and Hillary was on the board of Walmart. Both led to huge trade imbalances in the U.S. but have looked beneficial in the short term. Bill Clinton's pardons really brought down the credibility of the office of the president and so has GW's.

After seeing Bill perform- if I had to vote for Hillary or Obama--- Obama would get my vote no matter what he stood for....

Bill is not acting very Ex-Presidential in his trying to play the role of a Hillary hatchetman.. I have to agree- what a sleaze......And I think it is hurting Hillary more than helping (which is plumb fine to me  ) but sure muddies the image of Presidents more....

An interesting issue some of the political pundits were talking about tonight on tv-- right now McCain, Rumney, and Gagliani are really making Iraq and national security their number 1 issue- all arguing over who is the biggest hawk and best supported GW in Iraq-and who will stay the longest in Iraq, come hell or high water- in trying to get the neocon and current establishment Republican vote
BUT
In doing so they are going against and possibly alienating themselves from over 2/3 of the total US voters- from the liberal , middle road, and the conservatives , that have not/do not back GW's policy with Iraq- and don't believe we should be commiting to a prolonged presence there or be nation building...

If one of them becomes the Repub nominee- what will their position be then :???:
