Stupid, or Teaching??

I am going to jump in here on the mineral part last year my cows had a heck of a time cleaning and we always gave the new calves a shot of Bose.I switched to Vigortone the end of December so far we have calved 50 head out and havent had any not cleaning.I have noticed that they clean very quickly.I have had 4 calves get a little loose and gave them a scour pill and a shot of Nuflor and a shot of Bose they all cleared up in a day.I have battled scours for the last 6 years 4 years ago we lost 25 out of a 100 calves.The best part is the mineral is $2.00 per bag cheaper than what I had been useing.So far this year calveing has been a breeze the heifers are about done and the cows are getting with it.All I do for the calves is tag them and weigh the Registered calves healthy cattle make it easy.

Thank you, Denny. I always said if what I posted helped one person, it was worth it.

Stay on the mineral for a year, and you won't see any problems with your calves; or very, very little. The only thing bad about feeding it is when there is nothing to doctor, doesn't do the horses much good, because they don't get ridden as much... :wink:

Thats okay my neighbor's are still feeding Brand X mineral....
