Great article. Now we have corn farmers farming land that might sell for $12,000/acre. 2 weeks in the spring and 2 weeks in the fall, and screaming for government planners to mandate ethanol and more farm subsidies. I suggest giant agribusiness is helped by these subsidies - wish we could end them all tomorrow.

I heard USDA is planning a helicopter drop in the I states of 7 bil $$. Because of low corn prices. Maybe they should lower their input bids on, I dunno, land?
