One more reason I prefer the flails rather than rolls. A friend of mine was selling JD farm equipment and went to a seminar on JD equipment in the states. They were demonstrating to the salesman the wonders of their discbines in a hayfield and right in front of everyone hit an old cast iron bathtub that was hidden in the crop. He said the bathtub made it through and repairs to the mower were less than $500. I believe it was a turtle, some shear hubs, and a linkage of some kind.
