Viewer discretion advised. This is a sculpture our daughter Tiffany (alias Sunflower) has recently made in the art school she attends in London. We are very proud of her accomplishment and abilities. When she posted the pictures on her Facebook page this morning, this was my comment:
"Looks quite risky, or maybe the word is risqué. Good job, regardless. All of the old masters depicted femininity this way, and it was easier than putting clothes on them. Just kidding, Tiffer ol' pal. You do wonders with your artwork. Some people make lemonade out of lemons, but you can make a beautiful person out of clay. That is almost a God-like quality."
She replied, "Aw...Thanks dad! It's interesting that I've transitioned to thinking about it entirely as sculpture over a (very pretty, mind you) naked woman!! But it's true... All the masters were only called "great" after they nailed the human body... Which I can now attest to be a very challenging thing to do! It was a gorgeous journey with the Holy Spirit, to make a human from clay. Thanks for being my ultimate support, Dad. You've made me possible!! And made way for me to be here."
