LOL...Forgot to mention...

I just postde and mentioned a surgery I had today and realized I had yet to mention it....Well, I come by that honestly. My Family tends to not talk about our own things...

For the last 3-4 years I have had an Umbilical Hernia. It is just above the belly button....The docs always say, "Fix it when you have a few weeks you don't need to ift" Ummmmm.....Anyone have those two weeks a year with cows and Horses? LOL....

So, this spring it got a little larger and began to sting.... So, I chose today to do it..

I had no idea what to expect... Surgery went well and I feel pretty good. When we got home, I had a claf out that I actually chased back in....

Not sure if it is the Vicaden or just new technology, but I feel pretty damb good....

I think that covers it,

ahhhhhh, technology!!! 20 years ago, that surgery would have had you confined to a hospital bed for at least a few days, but today they just slip in a camera and a scope and "WHALLAH'!!!! Home for dinner!! glad to hear you are doing well, but LISTEN TO YOUR DOC!!! Take it easy for awhile or you WILL be back in the hospital!!!

Strange but our friend just came for dinner last night and he had his umbilical hernia plus groin hernia fixed a week ago. He is still on Tylenol but doing much better. No scope for him- they did a long incision. Of course this is all hearsay- he wouldn't give us a peek :)

Do take it easy so you don't tear open

My dad just had a groin hernia "refixed" that he'd had done 10 or so years ago. This time he said he was alot more sore than he was then.....I said, "Dad, your 10 years older than you were then too :p "

He did say tho that it was alot more invasive this time...instead of the scope, the dr cut him open enuff to get down in there and work. So.....yeap...I'd say he's a bit more sore. He's doin ok tho, just takin a lil more time to get goin again.
