Why is this a good thing when Albertans are not receiving basic public services?

So which basic services are we lacking in Alberta?

Stripping away the corporate histrionics, the fact is that in 2011 Alberta corporations paid a combined provincial and federal tax of 26.5%. Compare that to US companies which paid a combined state and federal corporate tax of 39.2%.

So if a Country that taxes even more than we do can't provide the services that we provide, then what makes this author believe if the government taxes in Alberta more, additional services will be provided?


If you consider politicians greedy and dishonest, why would you want to give them additional access to other people's money?

a few politicians have negotiated royalty and equity agreements and won despite threats from energy saying they will leave; they didnt. albertans are not getting the best deal at present is what this book is suggesting

as you may know, danny williams took 5%. kitimat is being offered 5%. i would have no problem with AB willing to take 50%.
