Oats are in the milk stage and starting to burn up so i started swathing today. If a set my crimpers down to get a little bit of a crimp i start losing oats off the heads. Is this normal or do i just open crimpers and not crimp at all????

I don't think I would crimp if your losing many oats. They probably will dry down OK. Crimping does seem to make them easier to bale doesn't it? :???:
