Syria's chemical weapons

Guess where Syria’s chemical weapons originate

Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely says he has confirmation that Syrian forces have used chemical weapons against rebel forces and civilians, and those weapons are likely stockpiles received from Iraq prior to the U.S.-led invasion 10 years ago.

Vallely has met twice in the region with military commanders for the Free Syrian Army, which he describes as the largest and much more moderate faction among the rebels, which also include elements of al-Qaida and the Muslim Brotherhood. He also gets regular reports from a Canadian medical team. Vallely told WND that team is certain that a chlorine gas weapon was used in recent strikes.

“From what I received from the Canadian medical team who works out of Aleppo is that is was chlorine and that what you saw were the reactions on those videos that were put out within the last week,” Vallely said. “The chlorine, the choking, the skin, depending on the density of the chlorine will cause skin irritation. If it’s mixed with other types of gases too, then it could have an even more enhanced effect on the human body, not only breathing but on the skin.”

he may be right on the chemical... but it appears this type of attack was common among the terrorists.. who could now be fighting in Syria..

and not long ago...

Attacks Kill 2 Iraqis and Expose Hundreds to Chlorine Gas

Insurgents began combining explosives with chlorine gas and other chemicals this year in an effort to sow more fear and havoc among civilians, military officials say. There have been at least three similar chlorine attacks in Anbar and Baghdad since late January that sickened scores of Iraqis, and American military officials had warned that militants were likely to continue using the tactic.

The first attack on Friday occurred at 4:11 p.m., when a pickup truck carrying chlorine gas blew up near a checkpoint northeast of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar Province, wounding an American service member and an Iraqi civilian, according to a statement from the military

About two and a half hours later, a dump truck filled with chlorine gas exploded outside the town of Amiriyat al-Falluja, south of Falluja, killing two police officers, according to the American authorities, citing local police officials. As many as 100 civilians were exposed to the chlorine and were treated for ailments including skin and lung irritation as well as vomiting, the news release said.

A third suicide bomber, driving a dump truck containing a 200-gallon chlorine tank, detonated about 37 minutes later near the town of Albu Issa, south of Falluja, the Americans said. About 250 civilians were exposed to the gas in that blast, 11 with symptoms so serious they were evacuated to American military medical centers.

it looks as if Obama will be forced to ignore this attack or admit he is in bed with terrorists...

We all know that the Iraqi WMD's went to Syria leading up to the invasion in 2003. They even had video of trucks crossing the border out of Iraq.

THE U.S. fighter jets were held back from bombing the trucks for fear of civilians inside them.
