Holy....HAIR!!!! Yea, that would drive me NUTZ after about 10 min running around in the 20" of new snow here.... ever seen a longhaired dog in new snow? All the "snowballs" stuck in the feathers?

The guys were laughing at me when I trimmed the small feathering off the fetlocks of my 6 before the first snow here. I'm a dog groomer by trade, and the LAST thing I want to do after dealing with matted up snappy little ankle biters all day is come home and de-ball the horses, whether it's mud or snow!
No, I don't shave them, just trim them up with scissors to blend into the shorter stuff on the rest of the legs. Seems to make them a little more comfortable too.

Beautiful horse though!

 She is a beauty...looks like High Maintence with that mane.

I wonder if she gets to eat at thier table

Someone is in need of a tune up :D Can you imagine trying to keep her white !

I've never seen such a horse before. Is that a mutant? Whatever, it is beautiful.

Gypsy Vanner. They are a draft breed and nope she is not a mutant. The stallions are very pretty. and clearly this mare got a whole heap of pretty :)

I WANT THAT HORSE!!! :!: :!: :!:

Wheres she from? I used to live close to Ocala! some of the barns there are bigger and more expensiver than the peoples houses!
How much do you think one of em would go for?

Katy, I think a cool 30 K should get you one. They run around the same price as the Fresians do. Here on the coast fresians are being bred to EVERYTHIng in the hope of make big money, the prices are already sliding hard as a result. Can anyone say Ostrich?

judith
that is a pretty horse for shure
but i would go through a bottle of show sheen a day just trying to keep here mane and tail straight
not to mention trying to keep her white
so i geuss i better just admire her from a distance
until later
jerry

30 Grande eh? I think I would just get an American Spotted Draft.. Look darn similiar (Smaller mane) but cost a bit less... Okay, a lot less.... She sure is prettty but I don't think she would look good with mud all over her an sandburs stuck in all that long hair...

yea a girl can dream tho eh? lol She would be black with mud and her mane and tail would be covered in burrs, so once she got over here she wouldnt look so pretty any more! :( :(
