Has anybody here used TC Freedom, TC Foreman, TC Stout, or any other bulls with similar bloodlines? Just wondering what anybody knows about them. They, along with a few other Uden bulls, caught my eye in a couple different ads.

I have a customer that used TC Stockman 2164 for a number of years-for a 'big' bull he was pretty good-not overly milky and cattle were quite sound. I think he was alot better than his more illustrious brother 365. I think TC manages their cattle pretty well but they've bred some good ones.

I have a few cows out of TC Divedend that are 13 years old and doing a fine job for us they were out of some smaller framed cows and are bigger than their mothers but produce enough extra calf to make up for it.They also own some great boughten bulls like sitz alliance 6595 we have used him AI with great results.

How about this guys?

Traveler 004 son out of a 6595 daughter and he does look
good. Will be at a bull sale in February.

I think that pedigree should work.
I'm pretty interested in him.

I've got some TC Foreman heifers that are going to start calving next month. They are big, I'm sure their heads must weigh 300lbs. Not what I would call feminine. Guess time will tell how they tun out.

He'd be a line bred 8180.

TC Freedom produces some good cattle in my book. They are not the prettiest but he is a bull that will do the Angus breed a lot of good. His sons and daughter's dispositions are second to none. No he is not a carcass allstar and he will sire some leather and navel but his growth curve is ideal in that they grow like weeds until about 14 months and stop. He should keep you from getting those monster cows that none of us need.

That is a true statement if there ever was one! More and more investigators and breeder's are realizing that high Growth EPD's, generation after generation, are creating a 'snowball' effect that is running away with size, and the ideal 1250 lb brood cow is getting larger and larger. Cost's of feed, hay, pasture and space is increasing, and the number of cows available for providing market animals (either feedlot calves or replacement breeders) is decreasing. Facts show that 1150 lb cows will net $70.00 to $75.00 more profit per year than 1400 lb cows.
