Nice diagram lonecowboy. Generally from what I have heard the protestors say Iwould agree with that diagram.

yes but there is a huge difference between the proposed solutions..

by limiting government we would not grow industries power, but limit it as well

the OWS, wants to limit corporations by growing government.. and in the end, both would have more power over the common person..

What you say may be true but I haven't heard any off the protestors say they wanted a larger government, just a more effective government that represents the people and not the big money in DC. Of course as in any large protest you will have your extremes as I have said earlier.

More than 100 Occupy Wall Street protesters marched to a Midtown hotel on Wednesday night to protest a fund-raising event for President Obama.

Escorted by police vehicles as they helped snarl traffic across the Times Square area, beginning at Bryant Park, the group settled in front of barricades on the southwest corner of 53rd Street and Seventh Avenue, in view of the Sheraton hotel at which Mr. Obama was expected to appear by 9 p.m.

Demonstrators held signs that leveled some of the Occupy protest's most pointed criticism to date of the president. "Obama is a corporate puppet," one said. "War crimes must be stopped, no matter who does them," read another, beside head shots of President George W. Bush and President Obama.

One man, wearing a mask of the president's face and holding a cigar, carried a sign that read, "I sold out!"
Ben Campbell, 28, one of the march's organizers, said he hoped to prove to skeptics of the protests that the demonstrators were political critics of equal opportunity.

"President Obama is coming to town solely to raise money from the richest of the rich," Mr. Campbell said.

The 45-minute march from Bryant Park forced shoppers and theatergoers into retreat on what most likely would have been a difficult night to find sidewalk space anyway. At one point, two pedestrians tried to move through the crowd head-on but quickly reconsidered, breaking into a jog in the other direction. "You better not go that way," one protester told them moments earlier. "You're going to hit democracy."

democracy= mob rules!

you know TSR I was thinking about this after hearing a radio report this morning. the report said an OWS like group was gathering to protest corporate lobbyiest's power, money, and influence in politics.
I think they got this a little backwards- the lobbiest's are just doing their jobs- it's the politicians that need to be protested for not doing theirs.
the politicians are the ones being bought off and ignoring their oath of office to support, protect and defend our Constitution. if there was reform amongst the politicians then there would be no profit in lobbying and the lobbiest would be unemployed.

I can agree with that LC, but I really don't think the protestor(s) that spoke had any order in mind when they made those public comments. I still think that there is much in common between these protest groups and I think its shown by your diagram. Now some would say if the 2 groups ran into each other there would be problems-- I say the majority of them would find common ground. Just imagine, the majority of both groups seeking common change-politicians beware,it might just happen.

OWS protesters would never go against obama, or any other Democrat. Tea Party members have already proven that they will vote against Republicans.....

OWS protesters protests those that take money from those willing to dish out "free money". Tea Partiers rally against those giving out the "free money"

OWS protesters have no respect for Private Porperty. Tea Partiers respect the Constitutional right to own and control your own Private Property.

OWS protesters break many and most laws, while Tea Partiers respect the laws.

OWS protesters are against the bailouts now. Tea Partiers were against the bailouts then....

OWS protests are a fabricated obama campaign, that you TSR are being fooled by....

To that end, Occupy San Diego held a little seminar on the virtues of communism on Sunday. The fun begins about six minutes into the clip.

How do you reach "communism" without larger government?

criticizing and voting for someone else, or "going against" the incumbent are 2 different things. Most OWS protesters will criticize obama for not being "progressive enough"

They will vote for the "lesser of 2 evils" also.......

The OWS protesters, as group, will not vote against obama, in 2012. they will hope that he swings even further "left", once he is not looking at re-election.....

Just go to page 1 of this thread and scroll to OK Farmer's post.

Although contained in Okfarmer's posting, it was actually LCowboy who posted this (my mistake) a quote/sign from a OWS protestor "Obama is a corporate Puppet"
