I have felt that when a child fails the teacher is partly to blame.. just as the parents and child must put an honest effort in, so must the teacher...
some teachers inspire students and teach with pride, while others are just poor teachers...
Caning might not make them better teachers, but they might learn enough from the experience to get out of teaching..
as for the outraged teachers union.. if the teachers put as much effort into teaching... we wouldn't have had a chuckle at this story...
Steve, do you believe they should cane teachers here in the U.S.? Do you think that would help the educational system? Why didn't Reagan just cane the air traffic controllers instead of firing them, wouldn't that have been more effective in your view? Perhaps every new president can cane the last one they disagreed with.
You are getting a little ridiculous here with the corporal punishment thing. Did you get a cane you are interested on using for your birthday or do you have a kid that just not like their teacher? Perhaps you just hate teachers.
not as ridiculous as your comment... but I'll try to answer.
teachers have a responsibility to teach.. even if I don't feel the punishment was correct,..
it did make me chuckle.. laugh.. so no I don't feel it is appropriate..firing would make more sense.. but considering the childish nature of some of the teachers I have dealt with over the years,, caning might work..
(BTW are you a teacher, because you sure can act childish)
as for the rest.. you get even more ridiculous and seem to be falling back to your old insultious ways.. did they cut your meds again?
as for you insulting my child...
actually my child was at the top of his class and is now studying at a Lehigh university.
