How much did he "take" to do that? Just curious.

Of course on the other hand, I read that $54.9 Billion would be saved in this years budget if Obamacare was not funded.

Does the money he "took" last night come close in comparison? Please be specific.

how does that compare with the muslim commie in the White House that is taking my tax dollars and giving it to his buddies in Al Queda or to the green based bankrupt companies???

Senator Cruz is fighting to preserve America, the same America that Obama hates and believes is too privileged.

I understand that thoroughly. But he would get a paycheck regardless. He won his election. Does he get paid for overtime? Or is it a flat salary?

Step up to the plate and be specific!

Once again, the trust fund baby ignores the facts.

Cruz ran for election on the premise that OblameaCare needed to be rescinded. He was voted into office to do just that. The man receives a paycheck from the government... He is doing what his constituency sent him there to do. There is no wasting of money with what is happening.

Pretty hard to fault a man for doing what he was hired to do. He's EARNING his paycheck. You might try it sometime yourself, KooKoo.

Interesting isn't it? Those who whine the loudest about DC being broken and politicians turning a deaf ear to those who put them in office, are usually the ones whining the loudest about Tea Party candidates doing exactly what the voters who put them in office sent them to do.

If I was a cynic, which I'm not......

considering the "other waste going on at the federal level,.. he probably saved US more by halting that machine for 21 hours..

US Budget spends in 1 Minute: $7,264,020

the US Government borrows $3,129,756 each minute

so lets see he just may have saved US more then most of US make in our lifetimes in the first minute..

so yes, I feel his halting the governments' work is money well spent..

sadly he only halted the senates' work.. and their time isn't really worth as much..

$100 Million Dollars = 1 year of work for 3500 average Americans

he is "getting" paid to represent his state and by all accounts is doing a fine job of that right now..

sure wish NJ's liberal senators had a smidgen of his principles..

(instead of one of them running off and hiring underage foreign hookers)
Pretty bad when a liberal senator cries about outsourcing and then outsources his own sleaze..
 :? :???:

BTW Cory Booker is slipping in the polls..

You do know that after 21 hours of ranting AGAINST the Affordable Care Act.....Ted Cruz voted FOR IT!!!

He did? When?

There was a vote taken just a few hours after he finished.

http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/25/politics/shutdown-showdown/

He spent more than 21 straight hours railing against any government funding for Obamacare. Then Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas joined the other 99 senators from both parties in voting Wednesday to move ahead on a spending plan expected to do just that.

I know you will squeal cause it's CNN link but, it's true. Look it up yourself if you don't beleive me

It was a procedural vote only. He voted to NOT shut down the gov't.

All 100 Senators voted in favor of it.

It's quite a stretch to say that he voted for Obamacare. In fact it's a lie.

It was all packaged all together. He could have abstained....but he voted for it.

He had already declared to Reps that is was a lost cause, that is what pizzed them off at him to start with.

I squeal only when opinion pieces are cited as fact.

Having said that, the writer is playing loose with the truth when one understands the reason for the vote: The rare 100-0 vote on a procedural step means the spending measure that would avoid a partial government shutdown next week now can be amended by Senate Democrats to restore funding for President Barack Obama's signature health care reforms, which had been eliminated last week by House Republicans.

The pubs aren't ready to shut down the gubmint so they had no choice but to vote on the procedural step.

I still salute Cruz for doing what he told voters he'd do.
