Ted Nugent on Hunting

Ted Nugent on Deer Hunting:

While on a European tour, Ted was being interviewed by a French journalist. The journalist asked, "What do you think the last thought is in the head of a deer before you shoot it? Is it, Are you my friend? …or is it…. Are you the one who killed my brother?"

Nugent replied, "They aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to have sex with next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French."

In researching a little about him- he's an interesting person...Rock guitarist and singer that is anti drug, anti alcohol, anti homosexual, anti PETA and bunny huggers - that loves to hunt and is an NRA and hunting advocate- said he owns a ranch in Michigan......

About Tribe Nuge - From His Site

Honor- It's a way of life. A way of thinking and doing. It is an inner glow that I know every human is born with, but some believe in, and others waste away. The conditions when one can believe in another. Trust. Truth. A BloodBrotherhood. True North.

Our honorable hunting heritage remains a vital drive in our modern culture today because of the force of our families to demand this connection with the inner soul of man, and all life giving elements that provide us sustenance. The tribe lives. Natural resources for the body and the spirit. We thrive on independence and that spirit of community. We wallow in her beauty. The stimuli. The contest. The hunt. The touch. Clear days and dangerous storms. Mother Nature can bitch, but we still love the hell outta the ol' gal.

Never before has nature been more important to us. Real nature. The pecking order. Tooth, fang and claw. We who hunt always knew instinctively that to manage a higher quality of life, we had to be honest about our impact on the good earth. Hands on. Air, water, soil and wildlife. A higher level of awareness, cause and effect. We walk every inch of the wild to know her better, to observe her wounds and to stop the rape. Hunters look in the eyes of our dinner. No denial allowed. Honesty begets honor. Our cause is upgrade, our prize is health. Celebrate that we hunters have always healed with nature, and now the rest of the world scrambles to catch up. We welcome all and will help in every way we can. You are all invited to our Spirit of the Wild campfire.

Tribe Nuge is a Tribe. Our fire is for BloodBrothers all. Join us and throbalong. We are the freedom fighters. Our TED NUGENT ADVENTURE OUTDOORS magazine will motivate and charge the Spirit of the Wild within.

A True North compass setting shines powerfully in all of us who touch the very fabric of our existence in this passionate, beyond the pavement, hands-on adventure. We face the beast and we welcome him. The whole wad, the good, the bad & the ugly. We are not afraid, but rather moved by the dynamo.

Go not quietly into that night, but storm the walls of concrete insulation-city stresshell wherever they are. Return to the proud role of steward/predator. We owe it to the next generation. We owe it to the Spirit of the Wild.

Share this excitement with your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors. The kids and the whole family are looking for this stimuli. It will cleanse the soul and inspire the warrior within. Join Tribe Nuge& celebrate True North. I come from a time when a man's word and handshake were a virtual guarantee. It is still alive in Tribe Nuge. You have my BloodBrother word that all these things are true. True North. Caring. Sharing. Believing. Take that spirit in and let the games begin. Upgrade!

BloodBrothers, Ted Nugent

Classic rock is played in my car, and I don't care who is riding with me. Too much country is dangerous for driving, as it tends to lull one to sleep!

You two can ride with me anytime. i play the classic rock statin and listen to cowboy CD's. I'm really pretty eclectic in my music tastes.

Just ask Saddletramp.

On the way to Medora, he just couldn't wait to see what kind of a song was gong to come on next, from the CD I made up of favorites. Everything from "Mack the Knife" and "I Left my Heart in San Fransico" to "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Long Cool Woman In a Black Dress".

Sounds like we have the same taste in music Jinglebob. I actually like a lot of different music, but rock and cowboy (as opposed to country) are my favorites.

You know what they say, "Great minds think alike."

When I was a kid in highschool, that was all they played. Rock and roll. I wanted to listen to country, but no one else did. So when I got older, I just naturally leaned to what I had heard in school. That and my wife is 2 years younger and a town girl, so she listened to it and I got hooked.

We had a teacher who played Jim Croce music in class. I got to where I liked it.

Oh, and my folks had a dance band and played a lot of music from the 20's, 30's and 40's. Darktown Strutters Ball is still one of my favorites. Especially to dance to.

And when I hear Irish reels and Scottish tunes, it gets my feet to movin'. I like a lot of Bluegrass also.

Even a few Classicals.

Tho' I've never yet figured out Opera music yet.

No one should listen to just one kind of music. Too boring... :(
I checked my CD case under the seat of the car and found Garth Brooks, Metallica, Rolling Stones, Jan Arden, a Classical CD, Led Zeppelin, Tracy Chapman, Tragically Hip, and the soundtrack from Oh Brother Where Art Thou. Variety is the spice of life. :D

As for Ted Nugent, he has a show on OLN. I haven't watched it, but I'm going to next time it's on. I'm not sure what it's about, but the commercial has a lot of horses and wild looking country on it. I think it's along the lines of Mantracker, or a survival show. Anyone here seen it?

He has a few shows, I don't watch any of them. opne is a reality show in which he has a bunch of people come to one of his "ranches" and they do things like hunt and skin and trap their own animals.. Had a vegan on it once I hear, got a bit interesting     Not a big fan of the Motor city madman but to each their own.

My CD collection is pretty diverse... From Mozart to Metalica to be honest.. I just like music, there is not much I won't listen to except rap. I used to never listen to any Country music until I started riving cross country... It was the only music annoying enough to keep me awake   but it has kind of grown on me since than.. I kind of like kistening to the XM raido and just picking random channels to see what I get...

Ishouln't say I listen to no rap but it is many days or weeks between my samplings of the stuff. I used to like some of the stuff when I was just a kid (Younger than Angus even) but I really just stopped listening to it..

I have to admit though, that I am a softy for a nice female vocalist more than the men... My roomate in college used to play a CD from some woman singer every night when it was lights out time... Put me to sleep like a baby, wish I could sleep that well now but now we have babies that don't sleep like babies so I get woken up a lot, lol..
