Cripes, I listen to anything that has sounds..... beethoven when I a little ticked off and cant leep, it bores me to sleep. lol.

Seriously, I listen to anything, and everything. I dont care what it sounds like, I like to listen to the words and hear a story unravel. A cousin made me a rap cd, never listened to it, then when I started writing poetry, listened to it, and there are lots of smaller stories wrapped up into one 4 minute piece :D.

IL, thats OLD!!! lol.

Angus, I am only 31 so we are talking the first Beastie Boys Album when I was in 5th grade, the old Run DMC and LL Cool J.. Basically all the stuff before gangster rap took off... I am not going to comment on their musci ability but I do get nostalgic for the songs of my youth..

I actually love classical music (I grew up with teachers who played it everyday during certain times in grade school and a mother who loved it) and can even stomach Opera although you couldn't pay me to go to one... If it is music I tend to like it especially if I give it a chance.. If i can force myself to listen to a genre for a couple weeks, 15 minutes at a time, I will tend to start to appreciated it...

Hey Mrs. Greg, I like her too. I am the worst one for liking a song and not having any idea who sings it. The only reason to know who she is, is having seen her on TV.

The people I used to work for in the 70's, early 80's, in the newspaper
business insisted on playing classical music in the evening. That stuff that
built to a cresendo and dropped. Doesn't take much of that to build a rage inside me. I told them if someone locked me in a room with that music playing, I think I could harm someone. I hate it.

Emmett LaBree was here getting mineral yesterday and he has a new
CD coming out. He's had 2 previously and they were suprisingly very
good. This one is too. He has some piano in the background and it's
really neat music. Emmett plays locally for functions. He is about 70
now, a rancher/cowboy. That family has been in this area forever. I
think many of you will like his work. I'll let you know when it comes
out. There is a picture of him on a buckskin horse on the front of
the CD and inside he credits the horse with saving his life.

I also saw a Trent Wilmont CD advertised and because of his high
rating on ranchers.net, I am going to order it. Man, he's good to look
at too!!!!!!

Nope. You are just sick Juan! :x

That song was written a looooooong time ago and meant a whole different thing back then.

I just like the sound of the music. Also, "Singin' in the Rain".

What's your favorite, "Snakes Crawl at Night"? :p

you gotta fight, for your right, to paaaaarrrrrrty. remember that classic?
I liked the beasties for a while too, when DMC and Aerosmith combined for the remake of 'walk this way', it took rap to the front burner..... before that it was just a thing they sang as they were break dancing in the hood.

thanks to Napster, I have down loaded a bunch of old highschool music. the boys were playing some ac/dc a while back, I started head bangig and singing along...... they freaked out! thought the old man had no taste!

I do a pretty kick ass impersonation of Angus Young.......

Have that classic on CD and still have my original tape somewhere around here... Good god... I had on tape from Anthrax, attack of the killer B's that did a mix with one of the rap folks... Interesting tape... Haven't listened to it for 12 years probably.

If I am not mistaken... the sun might actually be poking through the clouds.. Impossible. Oh well, preg checking tomorrow so I know it will rain all day until we are done. Or it will be sunny, perfect balling weather until we are done and than the skies will open up. Oh well, life in October/November in Illinois.

yes, the nuge has a hunting show, spirit of the wild, always rocks out a little in the middle with some guitar riffs, and he is just fun to watch, always so enthusiastic. although, in concert he was a little much for a preggers mom (me-few years back) who could have no special beverage to wash him down with in the 11th row   found out cat scratch fever was one of the only songs I like of his lol

k_ranch and I like a lot of musical variety, but we ROCK most the time, I hate the songs I have my kids listening to. lol (Crazy B*&^&h, and the likes-I am amazed at the bluntness and rudeness of songs and think they are hilarious, glad I am happily married) but I love to listen to the rock songs of my youth and current ones. Then tomorrow I will turn around and listen to a week of only country music. Other weeks I only get to here children's sing along songs.) I like to mix it up.

Oh yeah, the reality show is sometimes interesting, he makes these people look pretty stupid and he votes one off every week, but they are not really "ranchy" things, some target practice, laser tag, fakey chores, no hunting that k_ranch or I saw. He did really get the vegan chick upset a few times, but didn't change her mind if I remember right.
Take care RM
