I was very disappointed in Cruz last night. He showed what I didn't want to see.....an establishment Republican....this country needs help and by not backing the nominee; that to me in the end looks like a 'no show' vote, which is a vote for Hillary. There is no way I can abide that.

I especially didn't like that he brought up, again, about his father coming to America with $100 sewn in his shirt. That has been said many times, and last night was not the time or the place. Made it sound like a Cruz campaign speech.

We have to remember the SCOTUS and what is going to happen there. Was Trump my first choice? No. Is he my choice now? Yes.
I will not be any part of Hillary being president. I hope Ted Cruz isn't part of it either. But last night made me wonder.

You're a smart lady, FH. Sometimes we don't get our first choices and the grownups learn to live with it.

I don't want to be around when Hillary gets the presidency because of a bunch of imbeciles with foolish pride either.

I liked Ben Carson's answer when asked if he had any animosity towards Trump. His answer was : "This convention is not about me, it's about the future of our country."

People are fed up with narcissistic career politicians. But Ted Cruz didn't get the message.

Cruz is defending his stance because of what Trump said earlier in the campaigns about his wife and father. If that was still upsetting Cruz, then he shouldn't have spoken at the Convention, IMO. This just adds fuel to the fire of the Republican in-house feuding. We don't need that; there has been too much of it already. United we stand, divided we fall....GOP should remember that.

And maybe Trump did set a trap for Cruz, because I read now that Trump read the speech before Cruz gave it and allowed it anyhow.
But that is politics. If Trump set him up, Cruz still fell for it.

Cruz' speech went over the time he was alloted by about 12 minutes. He added more ridiculousness to his speech as he went along. He's a power hungry idiot and gets himself off by pissing off others, and sadly those in his own Party.

Like Lindsey Graham said, 'If Ted Cruz shot himself on the Senate floor, no one would care one way or the other' (paraphrasing).

As was said, Trump gave him the rope to hang himself, or to be a patriot. He chose the self induced hanging..

I used to like Cruz. If he was trying to be "Reagan like" he failed miserably. If anything he reminded more of Al Gore.

False check you facts..initially he was allotted ten minutes but the "planners changed it to twenty minutes. they are wrong. But this is typicality of trumpo and his supporters to put out a LIE and then never answer for it, sadly the lie sticks and people are mislead.

"FACT" who the hell cares if the idiot took 12 extra minutes! I was a Cruz supporter and he blew it. Time to let him bury himself in the grave yard of political fools right alongside Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush, both of whom I supported at one time. Today it is not about being politically correct it is about AMERICA. Again I am reminded of 1980 and The rise of Ronald Regan in July Carter was in the lead By Oct the writing was on the wall and many high ranking democrats fell with Carter one was Frank Church, this year Harry Reid's seat will go to Joe Heck R. For 24 yrs we have had three of the worst presidents in American history,Obummer, Clinton and Bush. These three actually have risen jimmy carter to 4th worst. We as a country need to do a 360 degree turn and fast and today I believe that the people will speak and choose Donald Trump as they did in the primary. The Democrats have forsaken there people and those people are going to abandon them. It is wonderful to here the words GOD BLESS AMERICA in a political arena once again.
