I've heard a couple Texans saying that, even though Perry is a RINO, there are so many Texans behind this that he couldn't ignore them.

What do you guys from the great state of Texas have to say about this?

We're pretty watered down here. There are a whole lot of new comers in the state. We are getting a whole lot of tree hugger rhetoric from the north east.

There are some pretty radical folks who state we never voted to join the union in the first place.

We have the right to break into 5 states if we so choose and a whole lot of folks want to do just that, to get 8 more senate seats. Others think it would not be that big of a gain because the Rio Grande Valley would be Democrat. That subject has been kicked around for years.

Most of us aint all that proud of out current Gubner. There is talk of a new Republican entering the race and it would likely be a hands down win for her if she decided to do it.

We are upset that Pelosi wants to take what is ours and give it to the tree huggers in California. Especially to the ones who defaulted on multiple home loans out of convenience. Ahnold can only do so much. There real estate collapse started long before. There is a 5 year old ad posted on the bulletin board in the break room at work. It is a 29 year old travel trailer sitting on a 1/8 acre lot selling for $168K with the ad annotated as "SOLD" across the front of it. Those people are out of their minds!

Our economy is now going down the tubes too. It is recent. Natural gas prices being as low as they are doesn't help and then Obama curbed incentives to drill. Everything went stagnant.

We have a laundry list in Texas.

add in a bit of inflation and we have jimmy carter's stagflation... oops I mean Obama's stagflation..

Carter brought a lot of retirees back into the work force. An old man out of NC was my mentor. "Pops" we called him. He had retired a decade earlier with two homes paid for. After a couple of years of democratic control, he was about to starve to death. Double digit inflation was pretty detrimental to those folks.

Forwarned is forarmed.

The liberals still won't get it. They're forewarned that what FDR tried didn't work and they're forewarned that what Japan tried in the 90s didn't work - but they're still doing the same damn thing.

Gubner Perry kicked tale last p.m. His ratings are probably going to go up big time.

I don't like him - even tho he is republican. Last p.m. changed a lot of attitude. I might actually sit down to a cup of coffee with him if the opportunity ever arose.

You think Kay Bailey will give Perry a run for gov?? By the time all her go along to get along in Washington gets exposed, her quiet demeanor of just not crawling too far out on a limb, and Perry making a little more noise about Washington taking care of it's own business, Every time he says something along those lines it will be a race that a lot of Texicans will vote for.

Chuck Norris has now volunteered to run for pres if the Republic of Texas happens.

There are more celebs starting to come out in support.

It is still a big joke to the dems and media.

If Perry meant it as a joke, the wrong folks are laughing.

Perry is plenty scared. I hate to lose her in the Senate, but I think she'll clean his plow in the primary.

I don't think she can win. PLUS I'd rather keep her in the Senate.

I would like to see both of them retired. By the way the legislators in Austin over ruled Perry on the $550 million for un-employment. Perry is a puss.

As much as I dislike him, he's ten times better than Ann Richards.

He needs replaced. We just need to be careful on who we place him with.

Don't forget that Ann got a whole bunch of votes in the election she lost to Dubya. After she lied and cheated and took us down the path of destruction, Texans still supported her. That is scary.
