I very much enjoy the Daily bible read. I didn't want to interrupt your thread but wanted to Thank you for your effort.
I haven't been a faithful bible reader but that is changing thanks to your posts.

I especially enjoy Psalms.

And we have our daily devotional ~Thank you Martin
Both are done without being preachy and in your face. They offer the word of God and from there is between you and God. Awsome leaders.
Keep up the Great work.

I am glad you like it. I notice a quite a few looking at it every day, so will try to continue. I thought that I would just post it without comment and let the scripture speak for itself. Anyway, I am not a preacher, so wouldn't come up with a good commentary anyway.
It is good for me too, as it makes me look up these readings, which I wouldn't do otherwise. I don't decide which readings to put on, this comes from a liturgical year calendar with daily readings that follow the time and events in the life of Jesus as we celebrate them.

Yes, a big thank you is due to both Martin and Shortgrass!

Martin, in the past I have had access to the monthly missals with all daily readings and reflections for the liturgical calendar included. I regret to say I quit them because I was not keeping up my end of reading them.

Since Advent started I have a new 2009/year B lector workbook with readings for Sundays and holydays. I do keep up with them pretty well.

Our pastor gets the workbooks for all the lectors and anyone else who wants one. I prefer the workbook over the missalettes because the workbook includes reflections on the text. And the print is bigger and easier to read!
