Good evening, my friends!! Had a wonderful e-mail sent to me by a close friend who has "been there/done that" and it really made me stop and thing!! The mailing simply asked for you to list the "simple/little" things that you are grateful for this Thanksgiving!! Sort of helped me come out of my "blues" and see the beauty in day-to-day things!! So...here goes....let's all list a few things that we are truly grateful for and think about what Thanksgiving is really about!!!
God bless each of you and may your "Turkey Day" be one of countless blessings!!!

Things I am grateful for---
#1....My beautiful, amazing children who remind me with each smile that "life goes on, mommy!"
#2....a safe, warm roof over my head
#3....friends, without whom I would not have made it through the past few months withou (yes, FH, Sw and Hanta....this means YOU!!)
#4....a full belly when so many others are not as fortunate!!
#5....the ability to keep working and earning my "keep"!!
#6....my family, without whom I would be out on the streets!!

okay...your turn!!! what are YOU grateful for???? Let's see how many wonderful blessings we can recall!!

Family and friends
The beautiful country we live in
Life... so many have had their's taken at an early age
Freedom .. to go where I want when I want with out any restrictions except how fast I go.
The resources to have anything I need and most things I want ( I want a place like Soapweeds but I don't quite have those resources. Soapweed you need to be extra thankful  ).
Health... without it life's not the same.
Last but not least, the Lord. He gives me the strength I need, and the wisdom to be thankful.

Thank you Lord.

I am thankful for The Lord, and my family. with those two allies on my side, NOTHING will stop me from reaching my goals.

and I am also thankful for my ranchers.net family and friends.... you guys have no idea how much I enjoy your time and energy spent on this little site. it really sparks my day!
remember, if your travels take you near the middle of America, my table is always set for you!

Thanksgiving is truly a time to count our blessings. We should be thankful at all times, but the day of Thanksgiving was set aside by our founding fathers as a particular day to count these blessings. They knew that the Good Lord had blessed their endeavors, and had put His Hand on the new nation that they were building. Our founding fathers (and mothers) were very wise people. I hope that our present populance will seek God's wisdom, and will continue to realize that it is still His Hand that bestows all blessings. Without God in our lives, we are nothing.

Thank you, efb. Your words have made me sit up and take notice, and made me extra thankful. I just hope and pray that I can operate in a responsible fashion, to allow the ranch to be passed on to future generations.

I am thankful for the most wonderful wife in the world. She is my partner in all that we do. Peach Blossom is a top cowhand. She is thoughtful, compassionate, and quite willing to overlook the faults of others. She is also a wonderful cook, as pictures of me have shown. :) Other blessings include great relatives, friends, and neighbors; plenty of fresh air and elbow room; and good tasty water to drink.

I am thankful for our veterans, who fight and have fought to keep this Great Nation free. Their passionate bravery, loyalty, sense of duty, and sacrifices are the true glue that holds this nation together. Thank you, Veterans.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Especially Kris and Ranchy. You have both had your share of hard knocks, but you are both strong and will come out of this for the better, I'm sure. Keep your family and friends close, and draw strength from them. Take care, and to everyone, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Happy thanksgiving Kris-- too bad you're not closer or you could have joined in the zoo soon to start at our place...All the kids, boyfriends, girlfriends, grandkids, great grandparents are going to be here-probably a few cousins and neighbors kids too  -so if another dozen or so stopped in it wouldn't matter....

Some of the boys took off hunting (in the fog)- I got out of it by saying I'd feed heifers..

Anyway--Everyone have a great Thanksgiving......I'm thankful that I've got to know such a crew as the ranchers.net bunch :D

AND SO JIGS DON'T FEEL LEFT OUT:
