Well, my MP3 player just called it quits, will only play the music, no lyrics. Im going to the city this weekend to look at a new one, but a friend won one in a draw, never used it. It is an Ipod Nano. It's the smaller one (3 inches by 1 inch or so) Should I get this one for 30 and save up for a better one or get a big one right now?

Can I get music off of my Itunes on the computer onto the Ipod?

Hey Angus Cattle Shower.....who are your five favorite singers/bands? Don't think that you have to list country singers either! If they're your favorite that's fine, but don't be afraid to shoot straight with me! Just wondering.

I have an IMac computer with ITunes and I can download songs. And it has stuff for an IPod, so I think you can, ASC. I myself don't have any use for something as frivolous as an IPod.

That's a pretty good list. A good variety is essential! I like Blink 182, Quiet Riot, The Who, and AC/DC also. I really like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Van Halen. I've got a lot of 70's and 80's country but very, very little new stuff. I believe that one can be a cattleman and listen to rock music but I know a lot of people who don't!!

I think listenin to a lil rock music while doin ranch work either makes the work go faster, or makes you work faster...I'm not sure which it is.....LOL
Lil Lilly has a mp3 player that she wears when she's ridin. Nothin but "good stuff" as she calls it on there. In other words..fast beat music for barrel racin..even tho when she's practicin at home she's doin slow work. I keep tellin her.."maybe you should get some elevator music for "slow work" But she aint havin none of that LOL

It works fine... When I use it. I don't like things in my ears so I rarely listen to it. I had it hooked into a car for a while but that was nice but than the device broke.. I did find it worked better with the wife's Mac than with my PC... Of course, I like the Mac better too I just can't get the programs I needed for it so I have this PC that drives me batty.

I am a rock person for the most part. I like country just fine, like just about anything just fine but it will all depend on the mood I am in.. I am still awful fond of the Music I listend to in College, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Greenday when they first came out, and one of y all time favorite goofy groups, They Might Be Giants.

They Might Be Giants!!!!!!!!! I thought I was the only person that knew about them!!! I first heard them on the XM radio and now have a couple of their songs recorded on the old computer here. As far as the Red Hot Chili Peppers...they are unique aren't they? I didn't use to care for them much but they have slowly edged their way into my top ten. I agree that music is such a big part of life and on of my favorite aspects of it. Right behind faith, family, friends and cows!!

Saw them in concert twice in 94 and 95 I think.. Great show.. Just awesome. Have a bunch of their CD's... They are a fun group and different.

RHCP are okay... Like some other groupe a lot more... Oh well, time to sleep..

Jersey, so basically the same as mine, but not as much of the "gangsta" stuff I play to irritate the he** out of dad :p:p

If you guys like RHCP, try again, not going to be played in my stereo any time soon.

Im very compatible with most music, some I just dont plain like. lol.

When I was 16 or 17 I think is when groups like the peppers, Pearl Jam and Nirvana came out along with Janes addiction and the begging of the grunge scene blossoming. Didn't really listen to it until I went to college. I was more of a Zepplin and Stones fan, Van Morrisey and the Doors in Highschool...

Just found my old Radio Head CD Pablo Honey... Forgot how good of a disc that was.. Wheezer... Usd to buy lots of CD's back in college and still have most of them... And of course, I will always be a sucker for Sarah McLachlan
and other female vocalists who have a voice like that...

One of these days I will sit down and put them all on the Ipod..

IL Rancher, you must be about the same age as myself. Graduated high school in '94....you? My musical tastes have changed a lot since then and I suppose still gradually are. I have a cd that I made for when I'm working and am able to listen to music that I bet you'd like....Ozzy, Weezer, Primus, Hot Action Cop, Seven Mary Three...that kind of garbage! When I used to drive through the night I loved Pink Floyd. I think "The Wall" is one of the masterpieces of our time.

You are just a whippersnapper... I graduated in 93, lol.. Yes, I love Pink Floyd too.... Not a huge Ozzy fan but the others... I would get along with... Just swap Nine inch Nails for Ozzy and I am golden, lol... I still like the music I listened to in High School it is just not my favorite.. I just love music period.. Not much I won't listen to.. Some genres I like even if I don't know the artists... About the only think I never developed a taste for is 90's-now Rap and R&B... A song now and again I will like but mostly not for me.

Night calving is country music for me. Baling hay is country music... Working on the darn Iron on this place is mostly the music I liked in College.. Tune to Lucy on XM radio and I am most likely going to be pretty good.. Some other ones to but I always have to hunt for those.
