There are plenty of people who have to work during and thru their religious holidays.......ordinary people.

Why should these legislators take 2 days off for a holiday, be it religious or not ,with things in the "mess" that everyone claims them to be.......or are they?

They all should be booted out for this if nothing else.

Same way they did it in August. Just pack up, turn off the lights and cameras and go on vacation. Doesn't bother Pelosi one bit.

Sign me up for that too!

They need to fix the problem first. Then they need to discuss the rest of it and determine the best resolution.

Who in their right mind elected Pelosi? THAT's the real problem....she is elected....

There is a certain class of people in this world....that I think live on a different planet than me. I just don't understand how they can think the way they do.

If I was a Billionaire I would pull a Brewster's Million and buy up add space on every TV network encouraging people to vote for no incumbents in this coming election!

It is getting tiresome trying to decide between Satan and the Devil come election time!

The people in San Francisco elected Pelosi to the House and house Democrats elected her to be the speaker. That should answer your question about "who in their right mind..."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi defended the decision of Congress to adjourn. ,... Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said yesterday, is that ``no one knows what to do'' at the moment.

They had a huge achievement in that first hundred days, as promised by Pelosi right?

Can we give them the rest of the year off? Maybe let them take early retirement? Offer a buy out. That would be much cheaper in the long haul.

Maybe to try to change in 100 days what had occurred in the last 71/2 yrs was just too overwhelming. But I agree with Aplus don't vote for a single incumbent. Problem is, I don't think many have the courage to do so. A lot of people are still operating under the" I'll lose my vote syndrome" and the Congress is smart enough to know that.JMHO

I don't hear of anyone trying to fix the existing problem that got us here. They need to plug that hole before they throw money in. Just my opinion.

Almost as overwhelming as asking a newly elected president and congress to get a handle on a secondary mortgage industry running wild with new freedoms to do as the please when other the banking committee folks are tellings them "there is nothing to worry about".
