The Best Whiskey You Ever Drank

Geez, no JD fans? Everyone always seems to refer to whiskey (or rye) as the harshest of straight shots. Figure you might as well keep it that way by drinking the harshest. Crown is basically candied-water to me. Tangle Ridge isn't bad, but if I can get through the majority of a 26 in one evening of partying, I generally don't give it a high rating of 'whiskiness'

What an apropos thread. I was in Edinburgh at the Malt Whiskey Society at a whiskey tasting on Sunday. Bought Highland Park which is quite good. My son bought KFC. I kid you not. That's the name of a malt whiskey.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Malt :???: - Does it tast like Chicken Peckers?

IM gonna hafta find me some of that tangle ridge or alberta springs,Weller is another good one,get the antique Blend,sez on tha bottle "This is a whiskey for memorable occassions".......... hell every day is memorable :wink: ...................good luck

I will drink Crown over about anything, but for good old storytelling drink, Jack on the rocks can't be beat. The worst I've had is probably Ten High. It's a rotgut bourbon. I think they got the name from ten toes high in the air after you hit the ground!!!

I believe you are right Koj,where some of these "whiskey drinkers " go wrong is they start mixin good whiskey with soda pop,sweet spring water is what you need,if you are gonna mix it :wink: ...............good luck

My favorite is Jack. But then the only thing I do with whiskey is put it in my barbeque sauce...

yes mam,lotsa recipes call for whiskey in barbecue sauce,it aint all bad in dried sausage either,kills bacteria you know...............good luck
