And Al's a Happy Camper again!

From the Xrays, it looks like both the middle bones on his right hand were broken, and the one to his ring finger is pretty well healed up.....the one to his middle finger, though, still has a pretty good notch in it. The doc said that if he's careful, it will go ahead and heal the rest of the way, but to be careful not to re-hurt it again. That was the condition of not re-casting it yesterday.

So........what's the first thing he does? Helps the guy at the feed store, load the feed up.....is that what you call being careful? It ain't, so far as I can tell, but these 16 year old boys.... :? ....ya can't tell em nothin!

Oh well............that's the way life goes.

Tomorrow, we're hauling his breeding herd (all 2 of them) over to Springerville, to be slaughtered.... ....the pigs, that is, not the cattle......One of our neighbors is coming to pick up the last two from Rosie's last litter, on Wednesday......they're penned up and ready to roll, as I write. At least, they can't get out on the road and get run over (would hate for Al to have to pay back the $200 he sold them for, cause he's already spent it on new hat and boots yesterday :? ).

Hubby says that the first of the year, he's quitting his job and he's going back to cowboying (most likely, in SD  ). So, we're getting rid of a lot of stuff that eats.......probably go ahead and get hubby's dad to tend the cattle we have, and he can use the horses for his trouble.....and the dogs. Hubby said I could take Reb with me when we go, but not sure. He's pretty wild anymore, and it might be better for him (and us) to leave him, too....... :(

So............what's new in your world? :D
