since the post was incredibly sarcastic... it only makes sense that my response is as well..

well it is several million more jobs then the democrats "created" and only cost several billion.. compared to the trillion spent..

I would say they did fairly well...

labor-participation-rate.jpg
the LFP rate shows the percentage of the population that could be working that is actually working.

“the labor force participation rate had not been as low as 63.6 percent since 1981, the year President Ronald Reagan took over from President Jimmy Carter.”

So, basically, based on this detail and others we seem to have all signed up for a grand thought experiment: What would have happened to the USA in 1981 if Jimmy Carter had actually won reelection?

sadly we will see how carter finishes his work....

Well, on your first querry---got me some of them BallRoom pants for Christmas, so pwoblum solved!

Last 'lesser of 2 evils' i voted for was Bush. I'd like to see 'None of the above' as a choice---not having that one, i went libertarian.

40. 3. "I think I was unprepared for war." –on the biggest regret of his presidency, ABC News interview, Dec. 1, 2008

39. "I will not withdraw, even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting me." --talking to key Republicans about Iraq, as quoted by Bob Woodward

38. "I hear there's rumors on the Internets that we're going to have a draft." --presidential debate, St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 8, 2004 (Watch video clip)

37. "I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family." --Greater Nashua, N.H., Chamber of Commerce, Jan. 27, 2000 (Listen to audio clip)

36. "Do you have blacks, too?" --to Brazilian President Fernando Cardoso, Washington, D.C., Nov. 8, 2001

35. "This foreign policy stuff is a little frustrating." --as quoted by the New York Daily News, April 23, 2002

33. "I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." --Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000

32. "I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound largemouth bass in my lake." --on his best moment in office, interview with the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, May 7, 2006

So Steve---lets say you sold you cowherd last week and new owner is now calving.

You hear all over town how good the calves are, what great mothers, easy keepers, charming and intelligent bovines this guy has got---would you be a bit irked if you found out he was bragging that it was entirely due to his world class stockmanship?

Would you perhaps feel that maybe a few little things you did last yr might have something to do with it?

Jeez---i dunno---would you mebbee consider going back a tad farther in time?
Did you notice that the chart you posted is for more than 4 yrs? Do you see where downtrend started?

"A 3 legged dog shoulda been able to defeat that dope---but not that buncha morons, mormon or otherwise. Sad.[/quote]"

Sarcastic? I call it factual. 300,000,000 people in this country and we can't come up with 2 competent candidates.

I learned one thing when I was young.. if something gets done,. does it really matter who gets credit?

he can brag.. if it make him happy as well.. then I would say my work was done and done right.. besides most folk will know the truth and it is cheap advertisement .. I have always appreciated a happy customer..

Jeez---i dunno---would you mebbee consider going back a tad farther in time?

if we go back to your first post.. you said the GOP created one job..

I caught the sarcasm... and threw a bit back..

but to explain,... Obama may have inherited a downward trend.. but there is no improvement.. no jobs created.. and it cost US trillions...

so if it only cost the GOP a billion to react his job, it was still a bargain

there were dozens of decent candidates.. thirty made it to the ballot for the primaries.. but the media focuses on a few.. a select few..

usually the select few it knows will not make it, yet will make a good show.. are highlighted and get debate time..

and since the tea party realizes that some party officials are picking only those who time has come and paid the dues.. to run and support.. we are nominating challenges to that status quo...

in time more candidates will learn that an incumbent should be challenged and hopefully it will be effective in getting some of the slugs out of DC and back to a citizens legislature..

little joe,

Many things need reformed, I agree with you on that. There are wolves present in both parties. But I have to say that one is far worse than the other. There is a movement in one to bring back sanity and it is that movement that I agree with.

I agree, it is probably the 2 years prior to the down trend that caused the down trend. What changed......?

Oh yes, it was a democratic controlled congress. That's what changed.

So yes, I agree with your assessment. Also, Bush was wrong on bailing out the banks.
