The health care issue is complex.
We either need to take it to a totally capitalistic mechanism, or a totally socialistic program. To me, there is no in between.......because a quasi gov't system will escalate long term costs.
In short, the gov't does not need to make our lifes decisions for us....But then again there's that phrase, "We're here from the Gov't, and we're here to help you".
My father was telling me how it was back in the 30's. No one had health insurance. They got to keep that money. When someone in the neighborhood got a catastrophic illness, the neighborhood would pitch in willingly.........in hopes of the same being done for them one day.
The difference today is we are being FORCED to pitch in whether our neighbor has helped, or would help, in the past or not.
