They are thick around here right now... Seeing a lot everday and hearing even more, lol... Even saw a little green here and there today on south facing hills but I think it is more wishfull thinking than anything else... 1 month from now would be something else.

We've finally got the 20 pair that come here to nest every year, so it won't be long now till spring! Hey any kid that'll shoot gophers is a great kid in my book!

Hey Tim the gophers are out in the Big Muddy.

I should phone #1 son and tell him. The rig he is on is drilling near Weyburn and he is staying there. They went from 12 hour shifts to 8's , so he has alot of time to kill between shifts. Shooting your gophers might keep him out of the bar.....for a while. :D

We'll keep a eye out for him. My son camped in a basement in Weyburn last winter while working on a service rig.he is driving truck out of Eckville ,living in Sylvan lake with his sister this winter.

Them old geese are probably grounded today with the high winds-- but boy is the snow melting and the mud drying up---70 degrees with 30-40mph winds gusting above 50....Porcupine Creek came down hard last night and is rolling across part of the hay fields and pasture giving it a good soaking...

Be some fence to fix but at least all the waterholes along the creek will be filled again...It didn't run last year, so this is nice to see.... :) :)

Geese are paired up and must be laying here now. Ther's a pair or two around just about every pond.

Fun to see the little ones following mama around the pastures.

These geese here are weird. Might hear them honking and flying most any hour of the night.
