I thought we were told the militias were the "rightwingernuts" :???:

I further order, pursuant to Section 41.480, RSMo, the Adjutant General of the State of Missouri, or his designee, to forthwith call and order into active service such portions of the organized militia as he deems necessary to protect life and property and assist civilian authorities and it is further directed that the Adjutant General or his designee, and through him, the commanding officer of any unit or other organization of such organized militia so called into active service take such action and employ such equipment as may be necessary to carry out requests processed through the Missouri State Highway Patrol and ordered by the Governor of the state to protect life and property and support civilian authorities.

So if you were a business owner and were about to get looted what would you do. They would only loot me once.

Remember the Asian people on the roof of their store carrying pump shotguns w/buckshot during the Rodney King riots?

Every store around them got looted and/or burned. There was not one incidence with their store.

All rioters and looters are not stupid.

I'm pretty sure they were Korean. You don't screw with them. The most hardcore VC were scared sh!tless of the ROKs. Jamal and Shaniqua might not like them, but they do respect what a 12 gauge can do.

reality... check insurance for coverage... let em do as they please..

sad fact is .. the government and media will not be on your side if you defend your business.. and the cost of defending yourself in the endless court battles would ruin anyone..
it is a bit to hard to shoot, shovel and shut up in the middle of a riot these days..

I will do what is needed to defend my family.. everything else is insured..

Some one needs to draw a line in the sand and put a stop to this BS for once, worrying about insurance, and the legality of it is what is wrong with America. It is time to stand up for innocent people of America and not allow riots and looting to take place in our city's, our towns or our country. we as Americans need to stop this S++t right here.

I agree,.. but the reality is.. the government not only will not stand up for the law-abiding citizen, but they will persecute them to the fullest extent of the law..

this so-called situation in Ferguson is an example of that..

it took our nation awhile to address civil rights in the sixties.. it was the violent scenes shown on the TV and in the newspapers that changed the national attitude. these days,.. liberals seem unfazed by even worse scenes if the perpetrators are black...

the only way for liberals to see reality is for it to impact them.. and if we as conservatives do not let them figure it out themselves, they may never see it until it is to late.. it may have to be painful,.. but we can't seem to convince them with warnings and words..

urban areas (cities) are liberal.. riots happen in cities.. (in the country we could SSS,.. )

it is time for the cities/liberals to have a reality check...

what was that saying.. let them sleep in the bad they made?

I drew my line in the sand.. and it is at the city limits...

Your right Steve. had to drive to Salt Lake City last week. As I got close found a radio station and the news was on telling you not to breath the air as it may kill you, then they talked about the shooting at the neighborhood meth lab killing three innocent people, then they said lock your doors as there was a serial rapist on the prowl. And we stopped at a Maverick store as we left and it was getting robbed... Couldn't wait to get back to my sage brush.

Doesn't insurance bail on riot, war, insurrection, and whatever?

whatever=terrorism

There are "Planned Responses" (see....they don't even call them "Riots" anymore) in 83 cities across the U.S. if the police officer is not indicted, per the FBI. Riots could last weeks or months according to undercover agents.

And just think, the police in Ferguson is sitting at the table with the potential rioters and negotiating the "Rules Of Engagement" as we speak.

Are the free speech zones already drawn up? If not, then its obvious racism.

They would call those free speech zones the "monkey cages" and Rev Al would really get upset.

some policies do cover riots ect... but you should always check first..

The rioting that erupted Sunday night in Ferguson likely caused millions of dollars in damage, but will the affected businesses — some of them locally owned — be covered?

Probably, according to insurance experts.

“Most small businesses have what’s known as a businessowners policy (BOP), and BOPs generally cover riot-caused property damage,” according to Insurance Information Institute spokesman Michael Barry.

The National Underwriter’s Commercial Property Coverage Guide defines a riot as “any tumultuous disturbance of the public peace by three or more persons mutually assisting one another in execution of a common purpose by the unlawful use of force and violence resulting in property damage of any kind.”

(The Los Angeles riots of 1992 caused $775 million in insured losses, according to the Insurance Information Institute.)
