The King meets in secret with oil execs.

Remember when this sort of meeting had forum libs all twisted out of shape? Even The King himself whined about such meetings.

"The oil companies were allowed to craft energy policy with Dick Cheney in secret while every other voice was silenced including the NASA scientists who tried to warn us about the dangers of climate change," Obama said in a June 2007 campaign speech. "When there are meetings between lobbyists and a government agency, we won't be going to the Supreme Court to keep it secret like Dick Cheney and his energy task force, we'll be putting it up on the Internet for every American to watch."

Anybody here see it on the internets? I didn't, and I was on-line most of the day yesterday.

I didn't see it either and I watch for those type of things. But you know,
the most transparent president ever, is only transparent in bringing down
America and he thinks we are all to dumb to realize what he's up to. :?

these meetings are no big deal in my opinion.. other then showing what hypocrites liberals are..

if you want to speak to an expert on energy.. you seek out those in the industry.. not a CEO of a travel agency ... or some other industry..

but of the notable names on the list..

In December 2011, the non-partisan organization Public Campaign criticized Duke Energy for spending $17.47 million on lobbying and not paying any taxes during 2008 through 2010 and receiving $216 million in tax rebates, despite making a profit of $5.4 billion and increasing executive pay by 145% to $17.2 million in 2010 for its top 5 executives.[23] The company has recently become the object of protest for its close relationship to the Democratic Party and its funding for the 2012 Democratic National Convention

Exelon's Political Action Committee (PAC) is EXELONPAC.[20] The company is positioned to profit from "expensive carbon" and has been lobbying for cap and trade of carbon dioxide emissions.[21] "Exelon CEO John Rowe is a vociferous and longtime advocate of climate change legislation.

Executives at the company have close ties to the Obama administration as advisors and fundraisers.[21] "Frank Clark, CEO of Exelon's Chicago-based subsidiary ComEd, was an Obama advisor and fundraiser, and Exelon director John Rogers has also raised funds for Obama.

so really it was just a bunch of big energy buddies having a chat on how to bypass the red tape... with their bought and paid for puppet..

when the Repubs. team up with corporations to talk partnership, it is called "corporatism", when the Dems. do it, it's called "stimulating the economy"

It ends up being corporate socialism usually, no matter which party does it and it means Capitalism died a long time ago in the US.

but Capitalism still gets the blame, because that excuse fits the narrative needed/wanted, to accomplish the goals they have set out.
