Guns and ammo are selling briskly these days, and that means weapons makers are hiring. Some manufacturers are scrambling to find enough workers.

Sure wish I had stocked up more .22 rimfire ammo & .223 components.

Have moved a little over 4,000 .223's (5.56X45) in the last two weeks and supply is diminishing fast.

.44 Magnums have been popular also because some have pistols and rifles that shoot that same cartridge. Need Large magnum pistol primers.

Buckshot is getting a little short too.

Having been out of the US guns and ammo market for so long it's nothing short of amazing to me to hear these stories. Wally World always had tons of ammo on hand as did most of the other sportings goods chains in the cities.

Somethiing's up, and I suspect it has to do with true government leadership.

There is nothing on the shelves now. My suppliers won't even take an "out of stock" order now because they have no idea on future prices or delivery dates.

Some say manufacturers are telling them order shipments are two years out.

If you can find .22 rimfires, they are up to $.25 each.

Copper, lead, & brass supply seem to be part of the equation. But that doesn't address the primer & powder shortage.

The gunmakers will be joining the moonshiners on the Feds most wanted list. If you want to know where they are just ask the former drug dealer down on the corner and he will hook you up.

I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure they are able to move to Canada and export. :)

The stupid thing is they want to legalize pot to take the illegal profits out of it, then regulate/tax it as a fund raiser for the Treasury. But then they want to make guns illegal so they go underground and with the underground activity comes out of control PROFITS. all they are doing is trading illegal pot profits for illegal gun profits.

There is "breakeven point", when it comes to "sin taxes". Remember when they tried to raise taxes on tobacco, here in Canada, too much and too quickly?

Next thing you know, they were spending additional resources chasing taxes, and fighting smuggling on the border.

One thing Canadians should know about is SIN TAXES. If the government doesn't like something and thinks it might add to your healthcare cost they slap a tax or fine on it FOR OUR OWN GOOD.

That said, if the gun shops move out of the US, the same thing is going to happen with guns as does with pot. People will be making them and SMUGGLING THEM INTO THE US to supply the demand for them.

One thing about pot smuggling there is a slight chance the young mexican drug mules carrying that crap across the border are not armed and dangerous, I doubt anyone is going to say that about a GUN SMUGGLER.

By the time the left gets done the only ones carrying guns will be the legally higher than a kite criminals.
And we have proven here in Canada they will be high on pot they smuggled in from Mexico as they are trying to avoid paying the US sky high tax on it.

DHS has many years worth of guns and ammo to supply the criminals for resale.

Just think, when all the gun shops close down, you'll have to go to the "hood", to buy your ammo and weapons, from a "DHS sanctioned gun dealer"

Wealth redistribution, obama style.

edited to add: and the local LEs won't have any ammo to fight crime. Hmmm?
