Congratulations on the new boy, Rod. He'll help keep life interesting for you, that's for sure. They don't stay little and innocent for very long.

That's a reasonable birthweight. You must have good BW EPD's.

 Odd how I was thinkin the same thing. Its unfortunate that the YW, REA, and intelligence EPDs are well below breed average

Thanks for the kind words, y'all. He's coming home tomorrow and we'll see what his 23 month old brother thinks of him. I'm guessing its not gonna be a pretty sight for awhile.

My wife saw the pictures and birthweight and stared at me long and hard... Said she should of maried a britiish breed instead of a 'balancer"
Our boy was 9 pounds 6 ounces and our girl was 8 pounds.. once again showing bw of male can be misleading.. I was all of6 pounds

  Shows what the dam will throw in to the mix (I have never yet convinced my wife of that  )-- I weighed under 4 lbs- but the smallest of my kids was my son 7lbs 4ozs- but his TWIN sister weighed 8 lbs 1 ozs and all the other girls were bigger yet....
