17 July 2009 The Jobs/Stimulus bill is not even 6 months into what is a 2 year plan...Many of the local jobs just started because of weather- others are held up because the factories can't get geared up fast enough to make the steel needed....
You don't just go from a country on the brink of oblivion (where Bush had taken us) to a full blown booming economy overnight.....
Talk to me about it 2 years down the line...

Talk to me about it 2 years down the line.........

I've said many times that I didn't think enough funds went to enough true infrastructure projects... Which was a problem when much of the funding direction was left to individual Senators and Congressmen (R's & D's) that used it for Pork... I agree with Senator McCain- we didn't need a World Trade Center built in Missoula Montana...

I can't talk to the rest of the country- but locally I've never seen economic conditions better... Cattle prices are at record highs, jobs are there for anyone that wants them, and I don't think I've seen folks with so much money... Buying and spending.... Some of the kids just came back from the NILE and said half of the county was down there shopping ! Sounds like the other half may have been in Bozeman watching the Bobcats or Denver watching Manning set records...

And my wife just bought new dishwasher's and waterheater to go along with the hookup to our shovel ready JOB's project when we got hooked into Dry Prairie Water a few months ago... Some old folks are seeing drinking water piped into their house for the first time ever... :D

I think much of the JOB's projects depended on the local decisions and the local personnel ...

What a fool. The "DONKS" masterminded the Porkulus and we came to find out later that those "Shovel ready' jobs weren't actually "Shovel ready", according to Buckwheat.

A $TRILLION$ down a sh!thole is not some mere mistake. The folks at Solyndra appreciate it and made a huge campaign donation tho'.

What do you think Ot, is 5000 residents a pretty good guess for your home county? Assume your anecdote is accurate, can you describe Oakland ca.? I know damn well you can, but won't because it controverts your deception.

So if Obama jobs are there just to be had, what do you say about the millions of negroes from Detroit or Oakland that claim there are no jobs? Are you saying negroes are lazy, because there are jobs?

As for stimulus money, just another argument for local control. It went to public sector jobs to repay public sector unions, in especially broke commie strongholds.

now this is comically ironic...

my bet is that the author of that comment voted for the guy who gave US the porkulas

and against the guy who wanted to cut out some of the waste in it...

The last I can think of that fits that mold is Eisenhower (altho Nixon tried to-but couldn't get past his paranoia)- who did an Obama type stimulus after the war when he continued all the major New Deal programs still in operation, especially Social Security. He expanded its programs and rolled them into a new cabinet-level agency, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, while extending benefits to an additional ten million workers.

Nope- that was a Rehberg pet project... Anyway thats who McCain blamed for sponsoring it when he put out his list ...
And Rehberg was no longer on my "like" list after he refused to answer my question on why he changed his vote on dropping the Cuban Trade Embargo after receiving a $10,000 campaign contribution from a Florida based Cuban group...
