The Pope Must Die!

I actually don't care if the Pope said that all muslims are goat loving, smelly, homosexuals with a funny accent , muslims shouldn't be shooting nuns in the back.

I don't understand why what the pope said is revant? Do you think there is an offence where nun shooting is justifiable? How about church burning?

So,this is what I got out of the speech...hes talking to Christians about Christanity.I sure DO NOT see how this justifies the trama that occured after,I understand Muslims do not like thier faith or better yet thier leader being talked about BUT...WHY should he take back what he believes and a large part of the world believes :???:

I do think that quoting a "brash" and confrontational medieval emperor was unfortunate.
Here R2 you said the popes actions were unfortunate. I say there is certainly some unfortunate things about the whole event , least of which is the Popes actions or selection of quotes. Nun shooting should demand more of your attention in compairison is my take.

I did not say his speech was unfortunate. I said that the QUOTE he used was unfortunate. I did not say that the content was unfortunate. If you had read the entire speech and seen the dissonance of that particular quote, you might have understood, if that is within your capability. It was not WHAT he said, it was the use of that particular quote.

Of course the quote is unfortunate. Read any of the analyses of the speech from all perspectives.
You're spitting hairs. The popes actions include his quote selection don't they? You are missing my point I guess . I don't care what the pope said. He could have said they are the most dangerous religion known to man and his error would have never justified all the reaction from this bunch of blood thirsty violent society. You are focusing on the Popes actions , which I am not defending. I could care less. Anyone or any religion that slaughters innocent women to prove a point has to be confronted and defeated, NOW! Focus on the real problem R2 . Don't side step and anyalize what the pope said like the media is trying to get you to do. They are afraid G. Bush will make some headway with the voters this fall based on his tough (not tough enough for me) stance on terrorism so they try to down play the terrorism. Can you not see that? Bed time for me. Have a good night.

well said......

the Pope's words were nowhere as unfortunate (or disturbing) as the blood thirsty violent muslims' actions...

while I am deeply offended by the Iranian president's words in his speech, I took no violant actions......because I see the differance.....
