The real Christie.

all along i have know and tried ot warn everyone about Christie..

he is a liberal bully hiding in republican clothing.. and not much more..

when he came into office he cut a millionaire tax surcharge.. in a move a few wealthy applauded.. it saved the average millionaire about $6000

then he cut teachers pension in a move a move a few applauded. . and it cost the average teacher about $4500

when he runs in 2016,.. the left will tell this story... along with his other cuts that targeted the poor.. such as the property tax rebate, cutting the earned income tax credit,..

they are cuts that are needed, but all his spending cuts have hit the poor.. and all his tax cuts have helped the rich including his business incentive tax.. and dropping the surcharge..

now Christie has an excuse to raise taxes on everyone... and the liberals are applauding. and crying foul at the same time...
Christie Reverses Stand on Tax Increases After Storm
yep, he hugs Barack and is infected with the liberal bug...

Gov. Chris Christie, a Republican who has pushed aggressively for cutting and capping taxes in New Jersey during his three years in office, said Tuesday that people who lived in towns destroyed by Hurricane Sandy were likely to pay higher taxes to help rebuild.

“No one’s ever happy with higher taxes, but the fact is, what annoys people more than anything else is waste,” he said. “As long as they know that the money’s being spent in a way that’s helping to bring their town back to life, I think people will understand it’s got to be done.”

It was a striking endorsement of the role of higher taxes and the federal government in helping the recovery, particularly coming from a governor who has often been held up as a leader in the movement to rein in both.

and just to throw another jab at his predecessor..
But Mr. Christie, wearing a suit and tie rather than the fleece jacket seen in his TV appearances the last two weeks, disagreed that the storm had brought on a change of heart. Unlike Mitt Romney, he said, he had never questioned the need for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. “Emergency response is always something that I’ve thought was an appropriate governmental function,” he said.

is Christie already running against Romney for 2016?

you can bet his tax and spending large arse he is...

You have warned us, Steve, repeatedly. And I've taken heed and told others.
But here's the deal: The news media likes him so he'll get away with more than another RINO would.

This is comical-- only months ago this was a leading conternder for the R cult choice for the Presidency- and on the short list as a Vice President candidate
THEN
He refuses to play partisan politics and condemn FEMA and Obama during a natural disaster-- recognizes that when government infrastructure is badly damaged you are going to need income to repair it-- and doesn't pull partisan whiny BS excuses for the party going down the drain and now he is to be CHASTISED- and thrown under the bus....

No wonder this party is dying....They are like little kids in a candy store- they want all, but have no idea what they want !   :(

actually you couldn't be further from the truth.. most are unhappy with not being able to actually go in and work to make their neighborhood and home liveable again...

many of the homes are just fine but the folk are kept out because the Governor and fema are trying to justify their jobs..

many can't leave their perfectly fine homes and get food or gas because they will not be allowed to go back to their homes because they are in designated areas.

One thing about government- it never does anything speedily...Our commissioners just got FEMA approval that they will pay for 2 of the bridges that were washed out in our flooding of nearly 2 years ago..

Will you rebuild everything in the same locations steve?

I have no need to rebuild. I didn't have any damage.. if my home was destroyed, I would not rebuild here.. I have a large piece of property a few miles away that is high and dry.. I would sue the NJ EPA and get permission to build there.. (ironically it is classified as wetlands).. even though it is a small wooded hill.. and has never even gotten soggy..

as for the rest.. I would bet like New Orleans, many will rebuild in exactly the same spot as the destroyed home. The federal flood insurance will enable them to take the "risk"

I have already heard word of 'grant"money and no interest loans for those without insurance.. in addition to the housing vouchers that are getting handed out like candy at a parade.. so there is plenty of money funneling in to rebuild in the same risk prown locations..
