I had a dr. appt in Cody today so after tagging calves I left the banks of the Belle Fourche yesterday afternoon. Taking the north pass out of Ranchester is tricky at best. That road will dang sure come out from underneath you. It was a downright blizzard up top. Got checked in at the Irma, had a little supper and then tried to drink them outta Canadian Whisky. Woke up this morning and the road condition wasn't sounding to promising. I got the dr. visit done and then went tack shopping. That's a whole other story. The radio said no unnecessary travel on any of the routes back over the Bighorns. The Hostile Native had to go to Denver so I had to get home. Smack in the middle of calvin and a bum that's trying her best to die. Otherwise I would have enjoyed the Irma one more night. The only way to Gillette from Cody today was north thru Billings. Fought blizzards almost the whole way. I love spring time in Wyoming. NOT !
