I watched it early this morning. It was short on substance to me.
The "Radical Arab" Muslims will continue to wage war on the West and Christianity, while the rest of the Muslim world will continue to condone the other factors' actions.
Only when a large Muslim segment starts to condemn Bin Laden, will we see a turn around.
Palestine totally rejected an offer by Israel towards peacefulness in the area, including half of Jerusulem, just a few years ago. They will be satisfied only when Israel has been obliterated.
OT had better get those Grandaughters some Burkhas while they are still cheap.......................
You are foolish enough to think that with ONE speech things will change overnite?

No, but obviously you do. I merely said the speech was lame, but here you are applauding it as something it was not.
Everything he said has been said in the past over and over.
How's what he said going to lend itself to "Change"?
I just plainly stated that it's not an overnite miracle but you have to start with baby steps....this was the first step.
Indonesian Muslims lauded President Barack Obama’s speech delivered to Islamic world in Cairo as "impressive" and "high quality". But they said the substance of the one-hour speech was "hardly new".
"People are waiting for him to bring a new perspective on the issue of Palestine," Muslim scholar Abdillah Toha told a seminar held by the Center for Dialogue and Cooperation among Civilizations.
He said Obama failed in his speech to bring forth a "breakthrough" approach to settling the Arab-Israeli conflict, deemed by many as the mother of all conflicts and one of the main issues undermining US-Muslim relations for decades.
Muhammadiyah chairman Din Syamsudin praised Obama's eloquence even when he quoted verses from the Koran. "Now we'd like to see the realization of his speech," he said.

And I'm asking how repeating past statements is a "First" step. :???:
There nothing new in the speech that I heard..............
Care to give us an example of a "Smarter Than You" statement by Bush?
(No pun intended because all of us here knows that Bush is smarter than YOU!!!)
