so we took advantage of such a cool day to move some cattle around to fresh pastures.

Late bloomer, this is July 17th, and a blooming soapweed now is very uncharacteristic
Hope these cows don't get brisket disease from this high altitude
Filing in to water
Driving them towards the highway, which we had to cross
One more drink for the road

The lesser half of our yearling heifers. This bunch was wintered on ground hay and shelled corn, then partly summered on the same. We turned bulls out with them on May 15th, in the dry lots, and the whole bunch didn't see any green grass until July 3rd. It will be interesting to see which bunch of yearling heifers bred up the best, these or the ones that were on green grass from May 1st.

The Kid and the cat named Cigarette. I came up with the name for this cat, because everyone on the crew is always picking it up and petting it. More time is killed on this cat, than if these people were smoking cigarettes. :x :?
