Paul Ryan narrowly won the vice presidential debate, according to a CNN poll taken immediately after it ended.

The challenger won 48 percent of the vote to incumbent Joe Biden¹s 44 percent, the network said. He also bested Biden in virtually every other category.

But host Wolf Blitzer insisted the decision actually was a draw as the margin of error on the poll was 5 percent, He said both parties should be pleased with their man's performance.

The poll also said that 51 percent thought Ryan did better than expected, with 19 percent saying he did worse than expected. When the same question was asked about Biden, 55 percent said he did better and 26 percent said he did worse.

It showed that 28 percent said that Ryan helped Mitt Romney more than Biden helped President Barack Obama, while just 21 percent said the other way round. That esult prompted Blitzer to say “All the indications are, this was a draw.”

Other responses showed that Ryan was considered more likeable by a 53 to 43 percent margin; he expressed himself better by 50 to 41 percent and seven out of 10 respondents said Biden spent more time attacking his opponent.

But Blitzer kept insisting that the poll showed the two men were equal. Even when it showed that the debate showed 28 percent saying they were more likely to vote for Romney and Ryan with just 21 percent saying they were more likely to vote for Obama and Biden, he said, "All the indications are, this was a draw."

CNN also reported that, just like in last week's the first presidential debate, the Democrat spoke more than the Republican. Biden came out at 41 minutes, 32 seconds, while Ryan spoke for 40 minutes, 12 seconds.

At last week¹s presidential debate, President Barack Obama spoke for some four minutes more than Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

1,000 California adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA immediately following tonight’s Vice Presidential debate. Of the adults, 701 watched the debate. Results of debate watchers:

* 48% say Joe Biden clearly won the debate.
* 41% say Paul Ryan clearly won the debate.
* 10% say there was no clear winner.

In a “blue” state such as California, it is not surprising to find that more Democrats watched the debate than did Republicans. Looking just at the reaction of Independent voters

22% say they changed which candidate for President they support as a result of the debate. Of those who tell SurveyUSA they changed their mind:

* 30% switched from the Obama ticket to the Romney ticket.
* 29% switched from undecided to the Romney ticket.
* A total of 59% switched to the Romney ticket.

The debate was a toss up, but in most debate areas it gave Ryan a slight lead.. and most felt Biden looked and acted like a jerk..

put it this way,.. Ryan didn't help Romney alot,

and Biden didn't hurt Obama alot..

considering that Obama needed help.. when it comes to voters this debate is a loss for him...

Biden looked like an complete azz laughing at everything. Obama didn't open his mouth and Biden wouldn't shut his. 82 times he cut Ryan off in a 90 minute debate, in any true debate that should have had the moderator telling him to stop it but not the liberal hack that was appointed to run a FAIR DEBATE.

Ryan should have stopped middle word and asked Biden to let the voters in on the joke he thought was so funny about the failed Obama policies that lead to an Ambassador's death? Or what he found funny about Iran getting a Nuke and wiping Israel off the map? Maybe then he would have stopped his disgusting laughing.

Biden was a disgrace to his party. And his facts were "lies" as evidenced by his claim that the truck driver that hit his wife and killed her was drunk. NOT SO!!!!!! Can't believe he could actually exploit his wife and daughter for political purposes, but anything is possible with Bevis and Butthead.

“Let me tell you a little story,” Mr. Biden told the crowd at the University of Iowa. “I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly — and I never pursued it — drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries.”

a police investigation of the accident showed that Mrs. Biden pulled into an intersection after she failed to notice an oncoming tractor trailer, which apparently had the right of way. The truck’s driver, Curtis Dunn, put his own life at risk in an effort to avoid the collision; he twisted the wheel so hard that he overturned his vehicle. Delaware Online adds emphatically that neither driver had consumed alcohol. Senator Biden, as reported by the New York Times, nonetheless chose to publicly and falsely accuse Mr. Dunn of killing Biden’s wife and child while driving drunk

On December 18, 1972, a few weeks after the election, Biden's wife and one-year-old daughter were killed in an automobile accident while Christmas shopping in Hockessin, Delaware.[1] Neilia Biden's station wagon was hit by a tractor-trailer as she pulled out from an intersection; the truck driver was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Wow, even his deceased wife's memory isn't safe. Truly sad.
