All the baby killers.queers and socialists got their way ---FOR NOW!!!!!

Their goal was to break the economy by giving our money away, which they did with all the sub prime loans, then flooding the airways with gloom and doom. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It's common knowledge that economies can actually be talked into decline - that economies can be talked into recession or even depression. All it takes is for enough people to repeat the same thing over and over and over and over and it finally starts to have an impact on consumer spending. Whining liberal sheep like Oldtimer are good examples of this.

It will be interesting to see if the press will finally be satisfied now that Obama has won and start doing their jobs. A good idea for some investigative reporting would be to see if this "financial meltdown" could possibly have been orchestrated by the Democrats. It's quite clear that the Dems will do anything or say anything to win, so the idea of having a lot of people go through financial difficulty just to get their way isn't all that far-fetched.

A lot of people are wondering why there was no "October surprise" like there usually is to steer the election one direction or another. But maybe there was a PERFECT plan? Maybe this financial mess was the ultimate successful "October surprise?"

I must say that I've had similar thoughts, Tex, about an orchestrated meltdown. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn that one of the world's richest Democrats had his slimy hands mixed up in it. I guess we'll never know, and the press will of course show no interest in investigating this and many other issues. Wouldn't want to cause the messiah, Pelosi, Frank, Reid and all the other Aholes any problems

It is people like you that ruined the republican party. I don't give a rats ass about any of the social conservative issues. Judging by yesterdays election results alot of others think the same thing. I imagine you will be leading the charge to vote on abortion again in South Dakota two years from now.

Nope you are wrong again. I say raise your kids right and you won't have to worry about abortion. I have a neighbor lady that has a "vote pro-life" sign up every election cycle. She had a grandchild aborted. If she had raised her son to have a few morals and not to hump everything that moves her grandchiild wouldn't have been aborted. Sad thing is I bet she doesn't even know she had a grandchild aborted cuz nobody would tell the sanctimonious old bitty.

The GOP has to become the "big tent" party again. Over the last 10 years they have become hostage to "Social Conservatives" that turned off many "Fiscal Conservatives". They have become intolerant of other "social" views. And they have lost generations of young voters...2/3 of under 40 voters voted for Obama...Along with the majority of women..Only one age group went to McCain- over 60....

They need to return to being the hawkish "cheap skate" smaller gov't, "fair" trade, term limit, anti-earmark/lobbying, anti interventionalist as their top and only priorities!

If they stick with the living or dying on extremist social issues and tying extremist evangelist/pentacostal religion with their party and government--- they will die.... Social values are changing- and all they do is make the whole party look like hypocritical fools every time some (R) politician gets themselves caught in some bathroom stall- congressional pages bedroom- or on the credit card list of some Madam...

Many that have known John McCain for years believe he would have done much better just being himself- and running his own campaign- and made a huge mistake by bringing in the Karl Rove attack/innuendo/fearmongering tactics thru his campaign manager Steve Schmit (a Rove protege)- who is also the person that picked Palin to satisfy the radical right- but who not only turned off much of that group but turned off much of the center and independents too....

Ironically after all the mudslinging innuendo and fear tactics put out promoting that Obama was a Muslim- 66% of the Jewish folks voted for Obama according to the exit polls...

Because the Dems are not the party out there putting themselves out to be the "holier than thou" party that wants everyone to conform their lifestyles to "that perfect" lifestyle as deemed by a bunch of old white men with grey hair and an (R) by their name....The Repubs need to learn a little from the Libertarians- to get out of folks bedrooms- and private lives-and family life decisions....Go back to worrying about the government and not rather Billy Bobs & Missy Jo's actions are condoned by Dr. Dobson or some radical southern Baptist tent preacher.....Quit trying to bring one religious and moral standard into government....

The Dems are the ones wanting to change things! The Dems need to quit worry about changing things to conform to their chosen life styles.

Besides when are the Dems going to get out of our pocket books and leave people alone, let those that can not afford to own a home rent! They want to be responsible for their families life decisions then let them go off welfare and work to own a home!

You can not have it both ways, if you do not want the government telling you rather you can get married or not then don't be asking for the Government to pay your utility bills and guarantee yourself as a home owner. Personal privacy and responsibility works both ways!

Just because you failed and now are to old to do anything about it, don't be telling me I have to pay for your failures!

Aplus I guess you think that all the people that voted for Obama are on welfare and that all that voted for McCain work for a living?? You did read on here wher Reagan started the Earned Income Credit didn't you?

No that is not what I think! It is that Obama will encourage more of it! I have no problem with welfare if given to those that have a true need for it as a temporary fix to a hard time. My problem is when it is a way of life in contrast to working.

I do believe many voted for him not for welfare by definition, but for a hand out from those who are more successful. People normally are selfish by nature. If Obama will give a guy an extra $1,000.00 a year in a tax break while raising someone else's taxes by $10,000 to many people will sell their vote to him for that $1,000.

Probably why some elderly jumped ship at the end. Obama promised them more and instead of doing what is right they sold their vote for selfish reasons.

Tuesday's exit polls revealed the dominance of the economy in voter minds. Mr. McCain actually lost less ground than many expected, compared to Mr. Bush in 2004, among voters earning less than $50,000 a year. However, he was crushed compared to Mr. Bush among voters earning more than $75,000, the very members of the "investor class" who have watched their 401(k)s and IRAs plummet in value.

Looks like folks aren't so worried about spreading the wealth as they are having someone in D.C. working for them to be able to earn (and keep) some....Instead the Bush/McCain policy was to give it to their FatCat buddies so they could keep getting their multimillion dollar salaries and golden parachutes....
