Then:
Back when the Iraqi War was popular it seemed every time I turned on the TV I saw George W. Bush standing in front of a line of military men and women. He used them as props to push his politicial agenda.
Now:
I haven't seen that kind of photo op in quite a while. Only when they had a success (Zarqawi), did he show up to congratulate and mingle with the soldiers and media.
Then:
General Shinseki gave his professional assessment of how many troops would be required to win the war and peace in Iraq. The Bush Administation insulted the career military man and assured Congress and the American people that he didn't know what he was talking about.
Now:
It's all on the Generals. Bush says that General Casey will make the calls about drawing down troops. Bush is distancing himself from this war. He's turning his back on our soldiers. When things go wrong, they'll get the blame. When things go right, Bush will be there for the photo op.
Where are the demands for accountability for this mess? I don't see them on this page.
