I guess this is what happens when you and your wife get pneumonia... time for this kinda stuff. I was reading the arguments for the initiatives on the slate for vote in MT. read the one on I-166 and the arguments prepared by BS. heres a link to some of it.

http://www.ravallirepublic.com/news/opinion/viewpoint/article_a33e5910-1994-11e2-a6ea-0019bb2963f4.html

and here's another link that i thought was interesting. i feel that if we are going to not allow corporate money influence campaigns then union influence should be too - but BS doesn't seem to think thats a problem he even sites in his speech for tester.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/30/Was-Jon-Tester-Elected-Through-Fraud

anyhow - thought it was interesting.

so OT i suppose you voted for cox then too right?

Well I darn sure didn't vote for Rehberg...That is the last thing we need in the Senate is another multimillionaire who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and is only in politics to further his personal interests... Number one of which seems to be following in Conrads footsteps of getting drunk and then creating some type of incident (fall off his horse in Afghanistan-- barroom fight in Missoula-- huge "food tab" in D.C bar that doesn't serve food-- nearly kill his aides in drunken midnite boating spree on Flathead lake-- etc. etc.) ...

I did tell Tester and Bullock both that I didn't think another Democrat could/would get elected in Montana until the Dems/Fish & Game/Schweitzer thru out their plan/idea for free roaming buffalo around the state...

But in the last few polls I've seen-- even the Rasmussen (who is strongly biased Republican) -- Tester is in the lead by 1 or 2%....

Election 2012: Montana Senate
Montana Senate: Tester (D) 49%, Rehberg (R) 48%

Friday, November 02, 2012

The Montana Senate race remains a near tie as Election Day nears, with incumbent Democrat Jon Tester now ahead by one point.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Montana Voters finds Tester with 49% support to 48% for his Republican challenger, Congressman Denny Rehberg. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and another two percent (2%) are undecided.

so they're dumping it then. thank goodness.

i can't believe how split stuff is right down party line. every initiative on the ballot is party lined. in my opinion pick your poison.

i see bs's bro is over in russia ag consulting... they must be trying to hamper russia's export abilities.

well OT im going to vote for denny. atleast he didn't vote for tarp, he doesn't sit on the top of the list for senate lobby money, and paul thinks enough of his voting record to endorse him. but you stick to your guns on his personal life rather than his votes - god knows everyone has one. plus he doesn't have an outside group dumping money into a cox campaign trying to split the vote in testers favor - they must not be able to use the indians this year. ya know tester or baucaus has never stopped out here. denny does it by his lonesome and has found time on more than one occasion to stop by and listen.

I'm with you Herford 76. I'm not sure that Tester OR Baucus even knows there is a southeastern Montana...except for the money that boils out of here...and we darn sure need another Republican SENATOR in Congress.

And as for politicans private life, OT never mentions that Tester didn't even carry his home county. Wonder why?

And he's been told how many times that Rehberg didn't 'nearly kill his aides
on that boat'. They were adults. They had a choice whether to be there or not.

And OT, you are really sounding bitter. That's too bad.

Well FH with Rehberg I am a little bitter- and very disappointed... As I said before- it started with when he refused to answer my letters and e-mails with why he flipflopped his vote at the last minute and had went against what Montana agriculture had worked so hard for-- ending the Cuban embargo and making Cuba a sister trading state ( like we do with Japan)... (I found out he received $1000 campaign donation on the day of the vote- and $10,000 more a few days later from a Florida pro-embargo lobbyiest group)..
Sold out his state for bucks in his pocket ..... :(
And I figured if he couldn't/wouldn't answer my questions- he wouldn't get my vote again...

Then as a longtime volunteer fireman/fire warden- and someone who was involved in the organization of our local county fire Dept-- I know how tight money can be for some of these fire departments-- and his suing the fire depts in Yellowstone County for not doing what should have been his and his corporate managements responsibility ( babysitting a fire that had been extinquished on his deeded development land) ....

Even tho he dropped the suit after it was shown it was frivolous and he couldn't win -- it still cost the departments and city and county (taxpayers) over $20,000 to fight the suit...

And as a multi-millionaire (estimated wealth as high as $56 million and listed in the top 20 wealthiest Representatives) he could have easily dipped into those deep pockets and hired somebody to babysit- rather than expecting the taxpayer to do so-- and then suing the taxpayer because of his personal screwup....

Yep- his stench does make things taste a little bitter... :(

You know what I find most interesting, with BS bragging about voter fraud, and our Attorney General Bullock (who is running for governor) being investigated by the FBI for multiple frauds and now the latest news about our Secratary of state Linda McCulloch also being investigated for voter fraud-
I wonder if our votes even matter?

sheeesh we are starting to make Chicago look good!

Hopefully this election will end this shamefull culture of corruption currently in Helena.

And we can add in Hill- who a District Judge has ruled has violated campaign finance laws..Serious enough that he had to shut down all his campaign ads...

That is what you get when you allow out of state and big corporate money to be used to buy elections...The SCOTUS was completely wrong in saying their ruling also covered Montana's 100 year old law to prevent corrupt practices that was put in place by a vote of the voters...

He is just jealous as he wanted to run for office in government. He is jealous as most dems are of anyone with money and success as he has neither!

Judge Orders Rick Hill to Stop Spending $500,000 From State GOP

By Julie Sobel
October 25, 2012 | 8:02 a.m.
A Montana district judge has temporarily ordered GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Hill to cease spending a $500,000 donation from the state Republican Party. The Missoulian:

Code:
A state district judge on Wednesday temporarily ordered Republican governor candidate Rick Hill to stop spending a disputed $500,000 donation and cancel all pending ads bought with this money, while she reviews the contribution's legality.

District Judge Kathy Seeley of Helena issued the restraining order late Wednesday and scheduled oral arguments for 9 a.m. Monday.

That's just eight days before the close governor's race between Hill and Democrat Steve Bullock, with Libertarian Ron Vandevender running a distant third.

The donation was made in early October, during a 6-day period after the state's contribution limits ($22,600 from a state party) were struck down and before they were reinstated.

The Missoulian reports that the large donation helped Hill to take the lead in fundraising over Bullock. Reports filed Monday show that, including the $500,000, Hill raised $733,000 from September 6 to October 17, while Bullock brought in $321,000.

Well Lonecowboy- I'm kind of like Will Rogers was- I only know what I read in the newspaper-- BUT according to the Billings Gazette it was serious enough that Hill shut down all his ads....

So what different info do you have- or are you just blowing smoke to blow smoke?

I don't know the Judge- but she is a Montana sitting District Court Judge- which means she was elected by the voters of that District and that is good enough for me...And the Judge in the order said that from the evidence presented it appeared Hill had violated the law- and the evidence was sufficient to issue a cease order...

Maybe thats the type candidates you want-- that try to find loopholes in laws to dastardly go around the intent of the legislatures, courts, and voters-- but not the type I want... And most Montanans definitely don't need Millions of $ in out of state money coming in trying to tell us how we should vote...Anyway I don't- maybe since you tend to be a follower you need it :???: :(

Lonecowboy-- I'll be perfectly honest- I have not heard of or read anything of any corruption between Bullock (the sitting elected Attorney General) and Seeley ( a sitting District Judge )....

If you have some real evidence of corruption- bring it on....

I don't know Seeley-- but have met and visited with Bullock a couple of times... I know he was highly recommended (across party lines) by former Gov Marc Racicot (R) (and most the staff in the AG's office where he had worked) when he ran for Attorney General....

Is this just conspiracy gossip- or show me the evidence and filings :???:
