Things aren't always what they appear

We had a good laugh last night hearing this story from our boy.

Our youngest son had a business trip to do some teaching in Hawaii. (I know- such a tough life  ) He'd been stationed in Hawaii in the Navy about 10 yrs ago where he'd learned how to surf so he was eager to try out his board again.

The beach was pretty much deserted except for him in his swim trunks and his board until a Japanese tourist approached him and asked if he could take his picture. He said sure so posed for a few and then other folks came up and also started snapping away. It wasn't until they'd left that he realized they must have thought he was a real native Hawaiian. The truth is though he is a South American Indian born in Guyana. So the tourists are taking home photos to show around that are completely erroneous! We wondered how many times we've been misled going by appearances.
