gotter to come out of the woodwork didn't it???

yah but yall may not like what the woodwork reveals

like the gallant knights of yesteryear, the "real" cowboy rides out today
armed with a rope instead of a lance and copenhagen as his shield
to do battle with the wild cow (pun intended) hiding in the brush!!
Yes it is a dangerous "occupation" but it must be done for the good of the herd!!!!
Her wicked horns can do no more damage to my leather armored body than the barbed thorns she hides behind!!!!

So how about it, are you going to answer my questions?? NO

I notice an absense of "real" cowboys rushing to your rescue here on this one. Cause ' cept for one I can't think of any " real ones" that reside here....and the one I'm thinking of has some sense and knows I can take out the trash by myself
or you can just admit you don't know what you're talking about by not responding!! I never admit ANYTHING

nothing personal intended- just having fun with you!!!!

You're so full of shite!!! Nothing personal, ya know!

No, I'm just wondering because I currently have a 3.9999999 with an extra credit coming up that'll put me right over the top. In my opinion, you ought to be the one who should be scared. I wonder what it'll be like when I actually get through college...... :)

Kid- All the "book- larnin" in the world doesn't make you smart...
There's a real classy response from a supposed adult to a 14 year-old who has every right to be proud of his grades. :???:

You libs are disgusting. I guess picking on the Palin kids must have got good to you - now you even want to do it to the young people here on Ranchers that disagree with your liberal agenda. Pathetic.

Hey all I suggested he do is unplug the computer and go find some real life friends. I'd be concerned if my teen wanted to spend their time on the pc with "old" people. Go out cruise around, play music loud, laugh with friends you only get on chance to have this time in your life.

CA, you're exactly right. I only have this one time in my life to waste my time in front of a X-box, getting in a car wreck, getting high on drugs or alcohol, and in my spare time maybe knock up some girl. Yep. I'm terribly sorry that I'm wasting my life doing school on the internet and not having much peer pressure to deal with. Living out where I can continue to grow my love of Agriculture and to set myself up for success in my adult life is a horrible waste of being 14. SO sorry.

cowboying is an occupation -- not a moral/social code!!!!!

On this you are wrong. Cowboys don't just tend the cattle they are stewards of the land the cattle and horses roam on. They have an unsaid code of conduct and commitment in their actions and ambitions. Cowboys are respectful not only of the animals they raise in their business venture but are also respectful of the people they encounter in daily life.

Oh, sorry. I thought she might be a little like you in her mindset so I thought I had better explain why I'm on the internet arguing and, in some cases, learning with old people.

Peer pressure unfortunatly helps prepare kids for life. Life is about pressure and making the right choices. In a school setting not only are the subjects taught but also valuable lessons about being social and choices. I believe in this more daily as the world we live in comprimises principle more and more. Children have to be prepared to face the day to day ugliness. It's just what the society has become.

Grow a love of agriculture and in ten years the living that a place is making will not be making that same living. Expenses are going up and it's taking more and more cattle to make ends meet. One day it will be the big guys I do honestly believe that. If a person doesn't forsee that then I ask how many under 300 cow ranches do you see anymore? If you see them do they have jobs in town too?

I never brought up beer. I had a ton of fun in high school cruising around with friends without beer involved. Driving around, the windows down, and the music blaring. Just laughing being young. I didn't bring up getting any girls pregnant either because you have to leave the computer for that to happen too.

I just can't fathom being young and being so intrigued by a bunch of older people fighting on the internet. Hell I can't believe I"m my age and am here as much as I am.

Maybe we should both go find a life. :?

Heh. That's why I'm running Pharo cattle. :D OK, my sincerest apologies about jumping the gun. At least I brought some things into perspective. But, to be quite honest, I love my life. If I love my way of life, I can bet you I'll find a way to make a living at it.
